  • Patent number: 12037543
Abstract: A process treats production water resulting from enhanced oil recovery, the production water comprising an aqueous phase and an organic phase dispersed in the aqueous phase, and at least one polymer in the aqueous phase. The process includes: a step of bringing said production water into contact with an additive comprising at least one tetrakis(hydroxymethyl)phosphonium salt (THMP salt), a step of separating the aqueous phase and the organic phase of said production water comprising said additive, by means of a hydrocyclone. An enhanced recovery process uses a step of treating the production water according to the invention.

  • Publication number: 20210253941
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for enhanced hydrocarbon recovery in a subterranean formation, in particular enhanced crude oil recovery, using at least one water-soluble terpolymer in aqueous solution, said water-soluble terpolymer being a partially hydrolysed polyacrylamide of formula (I) wherein X is an alkali metal cation chosen from sodium, lithium or potassium, or an ammonium cation NH4+; the coefficients a, b and c being defined in the following way: a a + b + c is greater than or equal to 0.50, preferably between 0.5 and 0.8, limits included, b a + b + c is less than 0.50, preferably between 0.1 and 0.4, limits included, c a + b + c is between 0.01 and 0.20, preferably between 0.02 and 0.15, limits included, all of the ratios having a sum equal to 1.

  • Patent number: 6706531
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for conditioning a soil or rock sample polluted by hydrocarbons. It also allows conditioning of pure polluting products. The device comprises a receptacle (1) containing a soil or rock sample (3), and an adsorbent material (4a, 4b) for adsorbing hydrocarbons or derivatives. The soil, rock or pollutant sample is preferably surrounded by two adsorbent layers. The invention also relates to a method of analysis by pyrolysis of a soil or rock sample polluted by hydrocarbons wherein the device according to the invention is used.

  • Patent number: 4904586
Abstract: Process for treating a xanthan gum in order to improve the filterability of its aqueous solutions, comprising an enzymatic treatment of an aqueous solution of xanthan gum containing, as dissolved salts, a proportion of alkali and/or alkaline-earth metals of at least 10.sup.-2 equivalent/liter, said treatment being performed by means of two enzyme extracts of different types, a so-called PG enzyme having as main activity a polygalacturonase activity and a so-called P enzyme extract whose main activity is a protease activity, in conditions compatible with the activity of said enzyme extracts. The obtained xanthan gum powder or solution can be used as enhanced oil recovery agent.
