    Abstract: Device for ionizing a material, comprising a tube open at its two ends, and wherein first end of the tube is heated to a temperature permitting the ionization of the material, the second end of the tube being kept at a relatively low temperature, so as to produce a temperature gradient between the ends of the tube and wherein the material is introduced into the tube by the second end thereof, whereat the ionization of the material is also checked.
