  • Patent number: 7972339
Abstract: An injector device for percutaneously injecting biomaterial in the form of particles of different sizes or in the form of paste includes a trocar (12) of generally cylindrical shape presenting a open first end with a sharp edge, the wall of the first end presenting at least one orifice (36, 38) for passing the biomaterial, and a second end (42) that is likewise open; a reservoir (14) for receiving the biomaterial, the reservoir including a part (20) of substantially cylindrical shape having two open ends, the cylindrical part being capable of being inserted at least in a portion of the trocar via the second end thereof; removable plugs for closing both ends of the reservoir; and a piston (16) insertable in the cylindrical part when the plugs are removed, the piston being capable of sliding in the cylindrical part and in the first end of the trocar.

  • Patent number: 7306611
Abstract: A device for delivering small spheres of biomaterial into a determined portion of a bone including a cylindrical hollow body of inside diameter D1 having a filling first end and a second end provided with a snap-fastener, a shutter-forming guide rod having a main portion that is cylindrical with an outside diameter D2 and presenting an enlarged cylindrical portion suitable for co-operating with the snap-fastener of the body, and a piston constituted by a cylindrical part presenting an outside diameter D3 and an axial bore of diameter D4. The diameter D3 is slightly smaller than the inside diameter D1 of the body and the inside diameter D4 is slightly greater than the diameter D2 of the rod in such a manner that, once the snap-fastener has been released, the rod can slide inside the piston, and the piston can slide inside the body.

  • Patent number: 5618549
Abstract: A method of treating a living organism having a disease associated with demineralization or mineralization defects of an existing bone by applying in a spongy portion of the bone or in a medullary canal of the bone at least one biocompatible and bioabsorbable calcium salt in the form of particles having dimensions less than 8 mm. The biocompatible and bioabsorbable calcium salt is an active ingredient for reinitiating bone remineralization and reconstruction of resorbed bone spans and increases bone density and bone mass.
