Abstract: A multi-ply tissue paper product includes at least four plies made of tissue paper base-sheet or non-woven. Two inner plies are positioned between a first outer ply on one side and a second outer ply on another side. The two inner plies are flat plies. The first and second outer plies include a micro-embossing pattern. Only one of the outer plies further includes a décor embossing pattern. The multi-ply tissue paper product is configured to provide improved thickness and strength parameters with less use of paper fiber material.

At least two fibrous plies are bonded to each other by an aqueous adhesive composition including an adhesive component and a dermatologically acceptable acid, and optionally a salt thereof. A process for the manufacture of this multi-ply fibrous product includes (a) providing at least two fibrous webs, (c) applying an aqueous adhesive composition including an adhesive component and a water-soluble, dermatologically acceptable acid, and optionally the corresponding salt thereof, to at least one side of at least one fibrous web, d) superimposing at least two webs such that the aqueous adhesive composition is located between at least two superimposed webs, and e) bonding at least two webs together.

Abstract: A coreless roll of an absorbent sheet product such as napkins, toilet paper, towels, etc., is provided made of a spirally wound continuous web of absorbent material having a first end and a second end, wherein a coating composition comprising a nonionic cellulose ether is coated onto the second end. The coreless roll has excellent stiffness and resistance to collapsing, as well as sufficient flexibility and elasticity. Moreover, the coreless roll has excellent disintegrability in water and can be used up over its whole length. A process for the manufacture of the coreless roll is also provided.
