  • Patent number: 5097747
Abstract: The invention discloses a controlled connector-adjuster permitting two different speeds in the same stroke of a double-acting pneumatic pressure cylinder. In the absence of a control signal at the orifice (13) of the apparatus, the escape pressure from the cylinder (30) effecting its rod extension stroke, finds the return valve (14) closed and holds the piston (2) against the stop (9) whose adjustment defines a first flowrate between the needle valve (15) at the end of the piston and its seat (16), which flowrate corresponds to the high speed. The arrival of a pressure signal into the chamber (6) causes piston (2) to move until it abuts on a second screw (7) whose adjustment permits a second smaller flowrate than the first one and which thus determines the second speed.

  • Patent number: 5052433
Abstract: The connection consists of a module (2) for connecting a pipe-line, free to swivel around a hollow screw (1) comprising a flap valve which is loaded by a weak return spring (5) to close against its sitting (3a) which constitutes the main passage of fluid flow through the apparatus. The flap valve (3) is integral with a rod (4), the free end of which is guided in the bore (10) of a plug (9), beyond a seal (6). The hollow screw also comprises means for conveying a small flow of fluid tapped from the sitting (3a) in order to fill an installation downstream of the apparatus, after which the flap valve (3) is opened by the effect of pressure. The apparatus is designed in two versions, one admitting pressure to the network via the module (2) and the other via the end of the hollow screw (1). Applications for pneumatic engineering.

  • Patent number: 4745845
Abstract: A flow regulating device is placed between a compressed air distributor and a double-acting jack for regulating the admission and exhaust flow of compressed air. The device includes a body with a cylindrical housing in which is mounted for axial sliding a movable member, and within which are two passageways transversed perpendicular to the body. Each passageway issues into a chamber defined by a bottom, the housing and the movable member. The two chambers are isolated by the movable member which comprises a central seal. The opening of the passageways are defined by stop members placed at both ends of the housing.

  • Patent number: 4716934
Abstract: Rotary switching connectors providing both connection of the pipes with each other or to fixed members and for establishing the flow of fluid from the ones to the others or interrupting said flow by closing off the upstream circuits and venting the downstream circuits to the atmosphere. They are formed of two coupled elements 1 and 2 able to be manually rotated with respect to each other about an axis XX and to keep the position which is given them. An inlet channel 4 in element 2 and an outlet channel 3 in element 1 each equipped with an integrated connector 66 and 55 open into their respective adjacent faces over the same circle of radius XY. The angular registration of these orifices allows the sealed bidirectional passage of the fluid of the device by means of a seal 8 housed in a cup 7 at the periphery of channel 4 and compressed between the two elements 1 and 2.

  • Patent number: 4658849
Abstract: Improvement in pneumatic sensors for the control of pneumatic cycles, in which a liquid jet vacuum pump is supplied at the input by a compressed air circuit and connected at the output to a nozzle of which the obturation provokes a rise in pressure in the vacuum pump used as signal for controlling a pneumatic component. The space 4 comprised between the jets 2, 3 of the vacuum pump is connected on the one hand to an output orifice 14 emitting the control signal and on the other hand to an airing valve 13b which, open during the ejection leakage, admits the atmospheric pressure in the space 4, the output 14 and the duct 15 preventing the creation of a depression and which is closed during obturation of the leakage. The invention is used for the control of pneumatic cycles.

  • Patent number: 4608910
Abstract: The invention relates to a compressed fluid saving device positioned between the outlet of a distributor and the admission of a pneumatic jack. The device comprises a valve which is kept open, to allow the flow of driving fluid into one chamber of the jack from the start and right through the stroke, by the exhaust back-pressure escaping from the other chamber of the jack, and acting on the piston of said valve. When the back-pressure disappears, the valve closes under the action of a screw-adjustable spring.
