  • Publication number: 20090057172
Abstract: The invention relates to a flexible packaging of parallelepipedal form for flexible, superposed flat elements, which may or may not be interlinked, forming a stack of axis XX, comprising a breakable zone (1) capable of constituting a dispensing opening that is initially closed and delimited by a line of weakening (2), said zone (1) extending over three faces (11, 12, 13) of the packaging. The breakable zone (1) is circular, or substantially circular, of diameter D, the greater part of the zone (1) is centred on one (11) of the faces of the packaging perpendicular to the stacking axis XX, and the other two parts of the breakable zone (1) being arranged on two faces (12, 13) of the packaging that are parallel to the axis XX of the stack.

  • Publication number: 20080217453
Abstract: The invention relates to a roll including a sheet (F) made of a flexible material, such as an absorbent fibrous material, formed by winding the sheet around a winding axis while creating a hole in the center and that presents a first set (10) of windings bonded to each other. The roll is characterized by the fact that it includes a second set (20) of windings that are not bonded to each other, between the center hole and the first set (10). The roll, according to the invention, holds up well throughout its use and is easily placed into service, in particular in the case of a roll of the center pull type.

  • Publication number: 20070262187
Abstract: This invention relates to a method for the production of a coreless roll (110?) including a sheet (110) of flexible, not moist, material such as a fibrous absorbent material, produced by winding of the sheet in one direction and rolling this sheet about a winding axis perpendicular to such direction, and including a central dispensing leader forming a projection along such axis relative to at least one part of the plane of one of the sides of the roll. The method is characterized in that the leader is produced by displacing a portion of the end of the sheet (110) before winding so that one of the longitudinal edges of the sheet forms an angle (?) other than zero relative to such direction of winding, after which winding of the sheet about the axis is initiated. By preference several sheets are produced by longitudinal cutting of a wide sheet. The solution may be applied for production in particular of general wipe rolls, hand towel rolls, or toilet paper rolls.

  • Publication number: 20070057103
Abstract: The invention relates to a coreless roll (10?, 20, 30) including of a sheet (10) made of dry flexible material, such as an absorbent fibrous material, that is formed by the rolling of a sheet around a winding axis characterized in that it includes a center-feed (center unwinding) first strip (10B, 21, 31) forming a projection along the axis in relation to at least one part of the plane of one of the sides of the roll. In particular, this first strip is constituted by a portion of the internal end of the sheet constituting the roll. The first internal turn is thus permitted to unwind, even if the center opening is reduced.

  • Patent number: 6827832
Abstract: The invention disclosed relates to an electrochemical process for decreasing high levels of organic contaminants in metal plating baths. The process involves breaking down the organic contaminants in an electrochemical cell by electrochemical oxidation. The electrochemical cell includes an anode comprising an active material which is stable at low (acid) pH and at the high electrical potential required to break down the organic contaminants by oxidation. Typical examples of such anodes include a valve metal substrate coated with doped tin dioxide, lead dioxide, or platinum-based materials, the latter in some instances being coated on a high surface area valve metal substrate.
