  • Patent number: 9555938
Abstract: A cover for a liquid container having a body for holding a liquid and defining a body aperture has a mobile member connectable to a fixed structure relative to the aperture via a resilient outer membrane connected thereto, and an inner closing structure mountable in the body proximal the aperture and connected to the mobile member. The inner closing structure is movable, by application of an inwardly directed force to the mobile member, from a first configuration for the cover, in which the inner closing structure impedes passage of the liquid through the aperture, into a second configuration in which at least a portion of the aperture is unblocked and the liquid may flow therearound and out of the aperture for removal from the container. The membrane biases the inner closing structure and the mobile member into the first configuration for the cover.

  • Patent number: 8602252
Abstract: A liquid dispensing cover for a container has a dispensing recess extending into a cover top thereof. The dispensing recess is resiliently openable and closable to enable placement of cover into a closed configuration, in which the dispensing recess is closed, and an open configuration in which the dispensing recess is open to allow flow of liquid through the dispensing recess for drinking.

  • Patent number: 7472915
Abstract: A speed control device suitable for roller skates includes a wedge-shaped floating brake pad actuable into an operative mode in a frictional contact with a disc secured to a blade wheel by means of an actuating lever movable in a controlled manner through the agency of mating scroll formations. The brake pad being configured and sized to, once frictionally engaged with the disc, remain engaged therewith until rotation of the wheel substantially ceases.

  • Publication number: 20080011671
Abstract: An expandable strainer includes a base having registration means therein for supporting and receiving a plurality of liquid permeable side panels arranged circumferentially in overlapping and interleaving inner and outer rings retained in uniform manner to allow expansion and retraction thereof upon appropriate movement. An expandable bowl is also provided and essentially includes similar features to those of the strainer with solid side panels. The strainer is insertable within the bowl and is rotatable therewithin via a spinner mechanism engaging the rim of the bowl. Rotation of a drive disc provided with a rack meshing with pinions provided on the lid which incorporates the mechanism. The disc describes a concentric path during use and the rack actuates the pinion in so doing, the wheels rotationally impelling the strainer to centrifuge excess water from salad items placed in the strainer. The water so expressed being held within the bowl.

  • Patent number: 6354608
Abstract: The independent wheel suspension system of the present invention provides an optimal shock absorption in which the shock absorber is easily activated by the weight of the user to provide for an improved maneuverability of the movable structure. The system includes a truck for mounting on the movable structure, a swing arm pivotally connected to the truck for rotation around a horizontal axis between first and second limit positions, at least one wheel rotatable on said swing arm, a shock absorbent device to bias the swing arm in the first position and having a shock absorber and a guide, and a user accessible tension adjuster for adjusting the tension of the shock absorber in accordance with the desired stiffness for use or preference. The guide has a first end pivotally connected to the truck about an axis parallel to the horizontal axis.
