  • Patent number: 4837448
Abstract: Protective sheath for optical or electrical conductors hardened with respect to X-rays.It comprises a flexible sheath formed from a resin matrix containing in regularly dispersed powder form at least one metal and/or at least one inorganic compound of a metal, said metal having a high atomic number of at least 47, a covering placed between the optical fibre and the X-ray protection sheath and optionally a mechanical protection sheath made from plastic directly covering the optical fibre.

    Assignee: Aerospatiale Societe Nationale Industrielle
Inventors: Jean Sainte Luce Banchelin, Jean Bourcereau, Yves Valy
  • Patent number: 4833334
Abstract: Protective box for electronic circuits hardened with respect to X-rays. The protective box comprises a base and a cover fixed to the base, formed from a rigid mechanical structure constituted by a composite material formed by a fibre-reinforced resin, an X-ray protection material partly covering the outer surface of the mechanical structure, said X-ray protection material being formed by a resin matrix containing a powder of a metal with an atomic number at least equal to 47 and with a melting point at least equal to 630.degree. C., a material formed from an element with a low atomic number forming the outer surface of the cover and optionally a good electricity conducting material covering the inner surface of the mechanical structure.

  • Patent number: 4831944
Abstract: This invention relates to a process and device for destroying solid waste by pyrolysis, in which a column of such waste is upwardly traversed at least partially by a stream of hot gas blown in at the base of said column, wherein said stream of hot gas is generated by at least one plasma jet. The invention results in the destruction of non-burned residues and in the improved flow of the molten residues.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 22, 1988
Date of Patent: May 23, 1989
Assignees: Aerospatiale Societe Nationale Industrielle, Constructions Navales et Industrielles de la Mediterranee
Inventors: Jean-Pierre Durand, Maxime Labrot, Joel Truc, Yves Valy
  • Patent number: 4766518
Abstract: Heat sources such as electronic components are distributed in accordance with a given cartography within a box essentially constituted by a rigid structure made from a thermally insulating material. In order to ensure the thermal stabilization of these sources, they are contacted with implants mounted on the internal surface of the box and for certain of them with inserts which are themselves in thermal contact with external radiators. The implants, inserts and radiators are made from thermally conductive materials.
