  • Patent number: 9856121
Abstract: A crane characterized in that it comprises a lower vertical boom (10) and an upper horizontal boom (12), mutually connected through a joint element (20), in that the lowest part of the vertical boom is connected through a pedestal (14), the pedestal further comprising a slew ring for rotating of the crane about a vertical axis (16), and a tension rod (22) is arranged between the pedestal and the joint element in a distance from the vertical boom and mainly parallel to this in a normal position of the crane.

  • Patent number: 9061867
Abstract: A device associated with a crane is described for the control of unwanted movements of a load that is connected to a hoisting line (14) via a number of branch hoisting wires (28, 29), and it is characterised in that the crane derrick comprises means that are arranged to push against the branch wires to dampen and eliminate the unwanted movements. According to the invention the device is used to control rotary movements of a container with four hoisting wires connected to a hook (36) at the end of the main hoisting wire (14) and the arm (22) is unfolded into an approximately vertical position, the two branch arms (28, 29) are folded out into a T-shape (FIG. 5), the arm is rotated further so that the branch arms (30, 32) push against the branch wires (28, 29) with a power sufficient to prevent the container from moving in unwanted ways. According to one variant, a device associated with a crane is proposed for the control of the hoisting line (13) itself for a load.

  • Publication number: 20130220960
Abstract: A heave compensated crane is described, comprising a lower vertical beam (10) and an upper horizontal beam (12) which are mutually connected via an articulated piece (20), as the vertical beam is connected at the bottom to a base (14) which in turn comprises a slew ring for rotation of the crane about a vertical axis, and a strut (22) is arranged between the base (14) and the articulated piece (20) at a distance from the vertical beam (10) and largely in parallel with this in a normal position for the crane, and that the vertical beam (10) is driven by, at least, one cylinder (18) and the upper crane beam (12) in its movement in relation to the lower beam (10) is driven by an intermediate cylinder arrangement (16), where the cylinder arrangement (16) comprises, at least, one single working cylinder (30) and, at least, one double working cylinder (32).
