  • Publication number: 20240147252
Abstract: A method for evaluating a deployment of a candidate configuration, of radio access equipment of a communication network at a location including: obtaining historical data relating to the network, the historical data comprising topographical information relating to radio access equipment existing in a geographical area before deployment of the candidate configuration at the location level and measurements of one performance indicator of the communication network over an elapsed time period; and predicting a variation of the performance indicator of the communication network, induced by the deployment, the variation being predicted based on the historical network data and topographical information relating to the candidate configuration, and from a previously-learned prediction model, the prediction model being implemented by an artificial intelligence module configured to receive as input data the historical network data and the topographical information of the candidate configuration and to produce as output

  • Patent number: 8660047
Abstract: Disclosed is a periodic broadcasting of data packets in an ad hoc network formed by a plurality of mobile nodes that can move along traffic lanes forming junctions and can be located. A data packet is broadcast by a broadcaster node elected from a set of candidate nodes at each junction. The broadcaster node is elected in a decentralized manner at each candidate node by comparing the estimated travel time to reach the center of the junction with a particular reference time period between two successive broadcasts.

  • Patent number: 7852788
Abstract: A method of organizing nodes of a network into clusters of nodes comprises a step (130) of calculating, for each node, a weight, representing the aptness of this node to be the master node of a grouping, and a step (190) of electing a master node of a grouping, such that the weight of this master node is greater than or equal to the weights of the other nodes of the grouping. The method furthermore comprises a step (140 180) of storing, in each node, an information cue (14) containing an identifier of the node of highest weight known by this node and the value of this highest weight, a step (150) of transmitting, by each node to nodes adjacent to this node, the information cue (14) stored in this node, and a step (170) of comparing, for each node, the information cues (14) transmitted to this node during the transmitting step (150) with the information cue stored in this node, so as to determine a new node of highest weight known by this node.

  • Publication number: 20100306820
Abstract: For controlling a message to be transmitted by a sender linked to a sender domain, from a terminal connected to an emitter domain to at least one recipient linked to a recipient domain, the emitter domain requests an authentication of the sender of the message by the sender domain. In response to a first request transmitted from the emitter domain, the recipient domain transmits a second request to the sender domain that transmits it to the emitter domain if data previously transmitted from the sender domain to the emitter domain are identical to data contained in the second request. The emitter domain transmits a response to the recipient domain so that the recipient domain receives the message from the emitter domain and transmits it to a recipient having accepted the message.

  • Publication number: 20090274056
Abstract: A device (20) for identifying a route satisfying a first constraint between a source node and a destination node in a telecommunications network. The device includes: means (31, 32, 33) for implementing a proactive routing protocol (RPR) adapted to establish a routing table (TR) and a topology table (TT); test means (31, 32, 33) adapted to verify whether a route between the source node S and the destination node D determined from the routing table (TR) satisfies said first constraint; means (31, 32, 33) for selecting a predetermined number (k) of potential routes (Rk) from said topology table (TT); and search means (31, 32, 33) adapted to search for a route (R) satisfying said first constraint among said potential routes (Rk).

  • Publication number: 20090122748
Abstract: A method and system for dynamically managing quality of service metrics in an ad hoc network including a plurality of routing nodes (100) that are used to route data packets. The system also includes a network manager (200) that is used to determine, compute and deploy a quality of service metric to be applied at a given time based on the quality of service available on the network and on the quality of service required by one or more applications. Each node includes a metric manager (111) that updates routing tables (1121) of the nodes as a function of the received quality of service metric to be applied.

  • Publication number: 20090034527
Abstract: A method of combating the sending of unsolicited information in a packet transmission network from a sending entity to a destination entity, the unsolicited information being of voice type and being sent during a call that includes a call set-up stage during which a call signaling message is transmitted in the network, followed by an on-going call stage during which said unsolicited information is transmitted. The method includes a step of detecting unsolicited information during said call. The method also includes a reaction step triggered following detection of unsolicited information during the call. A system for combating the sending of unsolicited information is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20080052402
Abstract: The invention relates in particular to a method of protecting a server (10) against denial of service attacks wherein, when setting up a communication session between a client (26) and the server, the setting up of that session being requested by the client for the provision of a service: the server receives (52) a request to provide service sent by the client; the server sends (54) an agreement to provide service to the client; the server waits (56) for an acknowledgement of the agreement from the client within a time period determined beforehand by the server. During this exchange of data, intermediate equipment (30) intercepts the data exchanged between the client and the server. Furthermore, if a criterion determined beforehand by the intermediate equipment is satisfied during this exchange of data, the intermediate equipment interrupts the setting up of the session requested by the client.
