Publication number: 20240312655Abstract: An in-vessel fuel transfer machine may be permanently affixed to a nuclear reactor and remain in place during power operations. The in-vessel fuel transfer machine may include a pantograph machine that positions a grapple in order to access any fuel socket location within the core and move any of the core assemblies between the core, an in-vessel fuel storage area, and a fuel elevator. The grapple may be positioned through a combination of movements, such as, rotating a rotating plug assembly, rotating the in-vessel fuel transfer machine, extending the pantograph arms, and shuttling the grapple along a leg. The grapple may be compliant to accommodate deformed core assemblies and may be configured to pivot to more closely align to an eccentric core assembly handling socket or be moveable in a horizontal plane to accommodate a deformed core assembly during insertion or withdrawal.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 28, 2023Publication date: September 19, 2024Inventors: Daniel R. Althouse, Nikolas Clark, Jeffrey Derenthal, Thomas Ekstrom, Victoria Graham, Joseph Heath, Matthew M. Mareka, Bryan W. Sardo, Nathan Smith, Zachariah Snyder, Olivera Ulicevic

Patent number: 11963069Abstract: A rugged, ergonomic integrated telecommunications handset includes an electronic controller that interoperates and controls the universal remote control (URC), which connects to multiple radios simultaneously. The controller downloads options which are implemented by the controller. The handset has an ability to vibrate in a silent mode, and has a memory capacity, as well as GPS capacity. Ergonomically, the handset has a pair of side arrays of protruding ribs, which enhance gripping, preventing the handset from falling out of the user's hands, even if the user has gloves on in inclement weather conditions in the field. While compatible with the latest radio system software defined dual net and dual channel radio equipment, the handset is also backward compatible with single radios or with two or more separate radios, and may communicate using Bluetooth.Type: GrantFiled: June 24, 2022Date of Patent: April 16, 2024Assignee: Global Market Development Inc.Inventors: Anthony W. Publication number: 20240025487Abstract: A vehicle panel includes an outer panel layer formed from a first material. The outer panel layer includes a first side, a second side, and a peripheral edge. A second panel joining surface is arranged inwardly of the peripheral edge. An inner panel layer formed from a second material that is distinct from the first material is arranged across the second side. The second panel includes a first side portion, a second side portion, and a peripheral edge portion. A panel bonding layer is joined to the peripheral edge portion. The panel bonding layer is formed from a third material that is distinct from the second material. A bonding material is disposed between the second panel joining surface and the panel bonding layer creating a chemical bond between the panel bonding layer and the second panel joining surface.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 22, 2022Publication date: January 25, 2024Inventors: Zachariah Smith, Venkateshwar R. Patent number: 10421262Abstract: A rear SMC component is adhesively bonded to a central SMC component to form a cavity adjacent the rear wall that encloses a tapping plate. A reinforcing SMC component is adhesively bonded to the central SMC component with a rail portion against the top wall and a rear gusset portion against the rear wall. Conductive heaters are positioned directly against the surfaces on both sides of the adhesive for the rail portion but only on the interior side of the adhesive for the gusset portion, because the rear component blocks access thereto. As a result, the adhesive for the gusset portion is only partially cured by the heater. A gusset fastener is installed through the rear gusset portion and the rear wall and into the tapping plate to fixedly retain the rear gusset portion against the rear wall while this partially cured adhesive subsequently cures.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 2016Date of Patent: September 24, 2019Assignee: FCA US LLCInventors: Jason E Schultz, Zachariah Smith, Mikil Sockow

Patent number: 9779395Abstract: Exemplary embodiments are directed to determining an availability of a transaction capability of a point-of-sale terminal, and alerting a customer of an availability of the transaction capability. Login activity can be detected at a point-of-sale terminal. An availability of a transaction capability for the point-of-sale terminal can be determined based on data retrieved by the point-of-sale terminal in response to the login activity. A visual alert associated with the transaction capability of the point-of-sale terminal is controlled based on the availability of the transaction capability.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 2015Date of Patent: October 3, 2017Assignee: Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.Inventors: Dustin Perry, Zachariah Smith, Daryl White, Grant Wade
