  • Patent number: 8918974
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for adjusting the alignment of an axle so that adjustments to toe, camber, and/or thrust can be more readily achieved. In one embodiment, a pair of non-parallel shims is located between flange elements. Positioning elements are located along the flange elements at a position outside the peripheral edge of the shims. Upon application of a torque to the positioning elements, the flange elements can be pushed apart or pulled together so as to provide for access to the shims.

  • Patent number: 8726958
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include methods and apparatus for adjusting the inflation pressure of a pneumatic tire. Particular methods include the step of arranging a tire in fluid communication with an inflation pressure source on a vehicle. Further steps may include arranging a rotational fluid passage between the tire and a vehicle axle and arranging along the rotational fluid passage an inertia valve that is biased in a closed arrangement while the valve is stationary or rotating below a desired speed about a rotational axis. Such methods may further include the steps of opening the inertia valve when the valve is rotating about the rotational axis at or above the desired speed and adjusting automatically the inflation pressure of the tire through the rotational fluid passage while the valve is open. Other embodiments comprise a system for adjusting the inflation pressure of a pneumatic tire.

  • Patent number: 8333015
Abstract: A method for adjusting the camber of a vehicle's axle comprising attaching collars (30, 30?, 32, 32?, 44) to the axle (12) of the vehicle attaching links (38, 38?) to the collars, introducing a deflection in the axle in a concave downward direction and modifying the length.

  • Publication number: 20120305101
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of the invention include a multi-port valve stem configured for operable attachment to a wheel for controlling the inflation of a tire arranged thereon. In a particular embodiments, the valve includes a base member having a bore extending there through. The base member includes a terminal end configured to attach the valve stem within an aperture arranged along a wheel rim. The multi-port valve stem further includes one or more tubular ports each having a bore extending there through and arranged in fluid communication with the bore of the base. The bore of each of the one or more tubular ports extends to a free end configured to receive a check valve. In other embodiments, the multi-port valve is mounted to a wheel.
