  • Publication number: 20240072699
Abstract: Disclosed are improved devices, systems and methods for powered generator systems which incorporate a solid-state transient power response system to provide supplemental electrical power to the power output during a transient period of increased electrical load, which permits the generator system sufficient time to progressively “spin up” the generator and/or otherwise increase power output at a desired rate to meet the increased electrical load demand in a desired manner.
    Type: Application
    Filed: September 5, 2023
    Publication date: February 29, 2024
Inventors: Tracy HACH, Donald A. WILLIAMS, Kristopher PURDY, Alexander Zachary BROOKS, Phillip REINGOLD

  • Patent number: 10906567
Abstract: A process for producing a coupler knuckle and an improved coupler knuckle design are provided. The process produces a coupler knuckle by constructing a mold having the shape of the coupler knuckle. The mold is coated with a material that is resistant to melting at the molten melt temperatures of the molten metal used to form the knuckle. With the mold coated, the cavities in the mold interior are filled by placing an inert material therein. The molten metal used for forming the knuckle contacts the mold and consumes it, while the coating serves to provide a shape for the knuckle.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 2, 2019
Date of Patent: February 2, 2021
    Assignee: Pennsy Corporation
    Inventors: Zachary Brook, Manuel Tavares
  • Patent number: 10906568
Abstract: An improved method of production of a coupler knuckle, a core assembly for production of a coupler knuckle, and coupler knuckle having an improved interior configuration for handling forces imparted on the knuckle and transferring said imparted forces through the knuckle and improving handling of linear force loads and their transmission. The knuckle interior has a force handling structure that includes spaced apart layers and cavities, with a cavity extending between the nose section and the tail section thereof.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 17, 2019
Date of Patent: February 2, 2021
    Assignee: Pennsy Corporation
