Publication number: 20240015145Abstract: A platform is configured to perform information technology management as a service. An instance of a servicing application is generated in a computing environment for a client entity identifier, such as a tenancy in a cloud platform of a host provider. The servicing application is created, and instantiated, with no pre-authorized permissions within the computing system, or with fewer pre-authorized permissions than another application in the computing system. A certificate of the servicing application is retrieved from a first data structure in a secure storage device of the computing system, an application authentication token is received from an identity service associated with the computing system based on the certificate, and IT management operations are performed in the computing environment by the servicing application instance based on the application authentication token providing authorization for the instance of the servicing application.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 18, 2022Publication date: January 11, 2024Inventors: Yevgeniya ROSS, Prasanna Chromepet PADMANABHAN, Derek Xianyang LIU, Zachary Cole WILLSON, Amar Dinesh ZAVERY, Somesh GOEL

Patent number: 11266381Abstract: A sweat sensing device includes a plurality of sweat collection pads communicating with a sensor. Each of the pads is activated by a timing circuit which allows one or more of the pads to be activated at a selected time and subsequent deactivated after a defined period of time. This allows for selective collection of sweat from a plurality of pads over a prolonged period of time. An impedance measuring circuit can be employed to determine if one or more of the pads becomes disconnected, in order to avoid irritation. Further, the devices can use a common microfluidic device which both transports sweat activating substance, such as pilocarpine, to the surface of the skin and directs sweat away from the skin to a sensing device.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 2018Date of Patent: March 8, 2022Assignee: University Of CincinnatiInventors: Jason Charles Heikenfeld, Zachary Cole Sonner

Patent number: 11206740Abstract: A power module includes a number of sub-modules connected via removable jumpers. The removable jumpers allow the connections between one or more power semiconductor die in the sub-modules to be reconfigured, such that when the removable jumpers are provided, the power module has a first function, and when the removable jumpers are removed, the power module has a second function. The removable jumpers may also allow for independent testing of the sub-modules. The power module may also include a multi-layer printed circuit board (PCB), which is used to connect one or more contacts of the power semiconductor die. The multi-layer PCB reduces stray inductance between the contacts and therefore improves the performance of the power module.Type: GrantFiled: July 23, 2020Date of Patent: December 21, 2021Assignee: Cree Fayetteville, Inc.Inventors: Zachary Cole, Brandon Passmore

Patent number: 11057033Abstract: A power module includes a plurality of power semiconductor devices. The plurality of power semiconductor devices includes an insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) and a metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) coupled in parallel between a first power switching terminal and a second power switching terminal. The IGBT and the MOSFET are silicon carbide devices. By providing the IGBT and the MOSFET together, a tradeoff between forward conduction current and reverse conduction current of the power module, the efficiency, and the specific current rating of the power module may be improved. Further, providing the IGBT and the MOSFET as silicon carbide devices may significantly improve the performance of the power module.Type: GrantFiled: July 8, 2019Date of Patent: July 6, 2021Assignee: Cree, Inc.Inventors: Edward Robert Van Brunt, Adam Barkley, Sei-Hyung Ryu, Zachary Cole, Kraig J.
