  • Patent number: 9836983
Abstract: A system and method for providing playback of interactions on a computing device. The system is configured to provide a user of a computing device with the capability of playing and/or recording walkthroughs on a user interface of the computing device, wherein the user is able to directly interact with the walkthrough and user interface in real- or near real-time during playback of the walkthrough. The walkthrough may be tutorial-based, such that the user may follow along with the walkthrough when attempting to answer a question or solve a problem via the user interface (e.g. classroom lesson on solving equations). The system is further configured to allow the user to record and generate a customized walkthrough.

  • Publication number: 20140098142
Abstract: A system and method for generating and manipulating one or more curves in a dynamic graph in response to user input. The system provides a user interface for interacting with (e.g. manipulating) curves in a dynamic graph of a drawing program. In response to user input (e.g. interaction with the graph and/or curve therein), the user interface graphically generates and/or modifies the curve. Generation/modification of the curve is based on an algorithm configured to intuitively and dynamically move control points of the curve in response to the user input. The user input may include direct interaction with portions of the curve itself, as well as direct control of the end points and/or control points. The algorithm ensures that the generated/modified curve represents a valid mathematical function, while further ensuring that the generated or modified curve appears visually smooth.

  • Patent number: 8318902
Abstract: A process for the preparation of a composite biomaterial comprising: providing a first substantially solid component comprising one or more of collagen, a glycosaminoglycan, albumin, hyaluronan, chitosan, and synthetic polypeptides comprising a portion of the polypeptide sequence of collagen, and optionally an inorganic material, said component having at least a surface portion that is porous; providing a fluid composition comprising one or more of collagen, a glycosaminoglycan, albumin, hyaluronan, chitosan, and synthetic polypeptides comprising a portion of the polypeptide sequence of collagen, and a liquid carrier, and optionally an inorganic material; contacting said fluid composition with said porous surface portion of said first component; cooling said fluid composition to a temperature at which the liquid carrier transforms into a plurality of solid crystals or particles; removing at least some of the plurality of solid crystals or particles by sublimation and/or evaporation.
