Publication number: 20240104984Abstract: Generally, methods and systems related to electronic locksets for sliding doors are disclosed. One method of installing an electronic lockset includes mounting a strike plate with a retaining groove on a top portion of the sliding door, attaching a lock assembly behind a rail of the sliding door. The lock assembly including a locking tab coupled to a motor to actuate the locking tab between an extended position and a retracted position. The method further comprising wirelessly connecting a control device to the electronic lockset. Where the control device configured to send actuation commands to the electronic lockset to move the locking tab between the extended position and the retracted position and the strike plate and lock assembly are configured to be installed such that the electronic lockset is in a locked position when the locking tab is in alignment with the retaining groove and is in the extended position.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 22, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Applicant: ASSA ABLOY Americas Residential Inc.Inventors: Kevin Pasma, Zachary Keoki Hong, Wei Hsu, Oscar Romero

Patent number: 11922733Abstract: A method of enrolling a user at a biometric lockset is described. The method includes receiving user access information from a mobile device of an administrative user of the biometric lockset. The user access information indicates to the biometric lockset to enter an enrollment mode in which a user identity is associated with fingerprint data in a user entry within a memory of the biometric lockset. A plurality of different light codes are displayed on the lockset, each one of the plurality of light codes representative of a different state of fingerprint data capture. A message is transmitted to the mobile device, and corresponds to the light code displayed at the lockset. The completed fingerprint data is stored in association with the user identity of the user in the user entry.Type: GrantFiled: November 11, 2022Date of Patent: March 5, 2024Assignee: ASSA ABLOY Americas Residential Inc.Inventors: Wei Hsu, Kevin Pasma, Zachary Keoki Hong, Jason Tu, Donnie Viajar, Ali Atash, Kevin Coleman

Patent number: 11583872Abstract: A showerhead engine includes a first plate joined to a second plate with a cavity therebetween. Water enters the cavity through an angled hole in the first plate and flows in a swirling motion about the central axis. A paddle wheel is spun within the cavity by the swirling water. A notched cutout in the paddle wheel forms an exit passage through a through hole in the second plate allowing the water to exit when the notched cutout lines up with slots in the second plate. The revolving paddle wheel continues to revolve thereby revolving the notched cutout and producing a revolving spray pattern.Type: GrantFiled: November 8, 2019Date of Patent: February 21, 2023Assignee: Spectrum Brands, Inc.Inventor: Zachary Keoki Hong

Publication number: 20230035156Abstract: A latch includes a housing that has a first side and a second side. The latch includes a bolt assembly that is positioned at least partially within the housing. The bolt assembly includes a bolt movable between an extended position and a retracted position relative to at least one of the first and second sides of the housing. The bolt is biased toward at least one of the extended position and the retracted position, and the bolt is positionable so as to selectively extend from either the first side or the second of the housing in the extended position.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 11, 2022Publication date: February 2, 2023Applicant: Spectrum Brands, Inc.Inventors: Zachary Keoki Hong, Oscar Romero
