The elongated handle has a mounting portion disposed in the passage, and the mounting portion includes a finger and a plurality of ribs extending outwardly from the finger to define a gap between the ribs and an internal wall of the passage. The striking tool further includes a resin filling a volume between the mounting portion and the passage to provide an adhesive bond between the striking head and the handle. The resin interlocks with the ribs to provide a mechanical bond between the striking head and the handle.
