Publication number: 20250134692Abstract: A new external female urinary catheter is disclosed. This system consists of disposable absorbent pads enclosed in reusable polymer pouch. This system is capable of collecting and transporting urine from a female human for a period of 3 to 12 hours, using capillary action of absorbent material. An opening over the vagina will allow the flow of urine into the collection chamber. This system can be used in standing, sitting, or lying positions. This system can control and neutralize the odor associated with the urine and also sanitize the urine. This system can also contain the leaking urine from an indwelling foley type catheter. This system can alert the nurse to potential urinary problems as well as measure urinary output accurately.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 25, 2023Publication date: May 1, 2025Inventors: Zachary Walter Newman, Ellie Shana Harooni

Publication number: 20250134697Abstract: A system is disclosed for collecting urine from a human male. An assembly includes absorbent material enclosed in a gusseted pouch made of polymer material. The body facing region of the Pouch is fitted with an elastomeric O ring allowing the insertion of the penis into the pouch. Once the penis is inserted into the ring, it will not retract or dislodge. The patient can urinate into the pouch while the absorbent material soaks up the discharge. The top of the pouch is fitted with a zipper that allows the changing of the pads for reuse of apparatus. The pads may be impregnated with a mild body safe deodorant or antiseptic. The Anterior face of the pouch may be fitted with a portal to accommodate a indwelling catheter and intercept the leaking urine. The pouch may have a weight to milliliter discharge conversion table, and/or a urine diagnostic strip.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 25, 2023Publication date: May 1, 2025Inventors: Zachary Walter Newman, ABBIE RIVA Harooni

Publication number: 20240350297Abstract: A urine collection system for a male person generally includes a portable collection pouch having a chamber configured to receiving an absorbent pad. A penis receptable having an elastomeric band securely positions the penis of the person so that urine enters the chamber. Pull tabs can be used to expand an opening defined by the band. The absorbent pad has a hole or is otherwise configured such that the penis shaft can extend through the pad. An opposite side of the pouch from the penis receptable can have an opening through which a Foley catheter can be inserted. The pouch can have another opening for insertion and removal of pads.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 19, 2024Publication date: October 24, 2024Inventors: Zachary Walter Newman, Abbie Riva Harooni

Publication number: 20240003434Abstract: A system including a valve. The valve includes a valve body having an interior volume and a bore along a first axis. A stem extends along a second axis and a flow control element couples to the stem. The stem selectively moves the flow control element through the interior volume between a closed position and an open position relative to the bore. A valve insert system retains a pressurized lubricant in the interior volume.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 19, 2023Publication date: January 4, 2024Inventors: Sandra Gavela, Zachary Walters, Codie Smith, Loc Gia Hoang, Eric Miller

Patent number: 11465446Abstract: A tire tread composition includes a quantity of an elastomer including guayule natural rubber, and a quantity of a hydrocarbon resin substantially evenly distributed throughout the elastomer. The elastomer of the tire tread composition may consist entirely of guayule natural rubber. The hydrocarbon resin may be selected to have a predetermined miscibility in the guayule natural rubber. The predetermined miscibility is measured by a deviation of actual Tg from predicted Tg for either the tire tread composition or an elastomer-resin mixture consistent with the elastomer and resin used in the tire tread composition. In particular, the predetermined miscibility in the guayule natural rubber is less than about six percent (6%) deviation in the actual Tg from the predicted Tg at a 20 phr loading.Type: GrantFiled: October 13, 2020Date of Patent: October 11, 2022Assignee: COOPER TIRE & RUBBER COMPANYInventors: Howard Colvin, Zachary Walters
