Abstract: The embodiments disclosed herein are directed to an adaptive, multiyear economic planning method for energy systems, microgrid and distributed energy resources. The planning method that uses optimization, simulation, or modeling that takes into account cost calculations, emission calculations, technology investments and operation in a computer or cloud-based environment. In an embodiment, the computing platform is deployed on a network that can be accessed by a variety of stakeholders. In an embodiment, the planning platform implements at least one of artificial intelligence, machine learning, forecasting or historical data to estimate various planning parameters for one to an infinite number of years.
