Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for providing enhanced late-life retirement income through the issuance of credits to a financial instrument. With these credits, the individuals have the potential for a higher return late in life in exchange for potential forfeiture of at least a portion of the designated account for premature death.

Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for providing an investor with liquidity in a first phase, and selectively providing a guaranteed minimum income amount in a second phase. The first phase terminates upon a date certain. The second phase begins after the first phase terminates. However, certain factors can affect whether the guaranteed minimum income is paid in the second phase. For instance, the guaranteed minimum income amount is not paid until and unless the designated liquid assets have been depleted. Moreover, although liquidity is provided in the first phase, certain parameters may be imposed on the investment of the liquid assets (for example, the risk profile of the liquid assets).
