Abstract: A disposable sanitary hand cover includes a hand covering and a separable outer layer. At least a portion of the outer layer is suitable for impregnation with a sanitary or medical preparation. The outer layer of the hand cover is used first to cleanse an appropriate surface, for example a lavatory seat or similar. The outer layer can then be detached and disposed of to leave the hand covering that can be used to wash and/or dry appropriate areas of the body. The hand covering can then also be disposed of. Preferably, therefore, at least the hand covering is made of a biodegradable material.
