  • Patent number: 11939274
Abstract: A process for synthesis of a waste-derived CO2-activated clinker, which comprises firing nodules at temperatures between 1000-1100° C. for a time sufficient to obtain CO2-reactive clinker phases within the nodules, cooling the clinker nodules, and reducing to powder to obtain a clinker powder; wherein the nodules are agglomerates of a stoichiometric mix of uniformly-sized powders of municipal solid waste (MSW) incineration residues; wherein the stoichiometric mix respects the primary compositional requisite of containing Ca, Al, and Si in their oxide forms within the ranges of 35-45 wt. % CaO, 2-8 wt. % AI2O3, and 12-20 wt. % SiO2; wherein the final stoichiometric mix has a total-sulfur content of 1 to 10 wt. %, total-carbon content of 2 to 20 wt. %, and a total-chlorine content of 2 to 15 wt. %.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 23, 2018
Date of Patent: March 26, 2024
    Assignee: REVERSEEFFECT TECHNOLOGIES INC.
    Inventor: Zaid Al-Ghouleh
  • Patent number: 10821629
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing precast products in an airtight enclosure, which comprises the steps of a carbonation of pre-dried concrete precast units by feeding CO2 gas into a closed airtight enclosure under near ambient atmospheric pressure (psig between 0 and 2) and/or low pressure (between 2 and 15 psig) conditions, wherein said pre-dried concrete units have lost between 25 to 60% of their initial mix water content.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 12, 2016
Date of Patent: November 3, 2020
Inventors: Paul Wayne Hargest, Zaid Al-Ghouleh
  • Publication number: 20200255349
Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of carbon dioxide gas to cure concrete media by applying a pressure differential created through a partial replacement of the original ambient volume of air present in a curing enclosure with pure CO2 gas.
