Abstract: A GRAS list chemical composition (containing only GRAS list approved ingredients) including a water-based bowel cleansing solution (either in concentrate form or diluted form) to clean a gastrointestinal (GI) tract before and/or during performance of an endoscopy procedure such as a colonoscopy, enteroscopy, upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, and small bowel capsule endoscopy, for example. The GRAS list bowel cleansing chemical composition includes at least one of a chemical composition as a liquid, tablet or powder concentrate that can be added to sterile water or other solution by the end-user to make the chemical composition solution; and a pre-mixed chemical composition solution diluted in up to 1000 ml of sterile water.

Abstract: A snare and retrieval device including a handle section, a cord section attached to the handle section, and a tip section removably attached to the cord section and spaced away from the handle section. Such a tip section is selectively detachable from the cord section while the cord section remains attached to the handle section. The tip section is detachable thereby allowing a surgeon to easily change the snare tip to a bigger or smaller size as necessary during the operation. A user can use one cord section for both removal of a polyp followed by retrieval of the polyp for further examination. This is done by changing the snare member to a retrieval member. The detachability of the tip section allows the device to replace at least two or more separate snare and retrieval devices, thereby reducing cost and time during the operation.

Abstract: An alcohol-based topical numbing agent can be applied to an epithelial surface via a cotton swab or other suitable applicator for providing an anesthetic and analgesic effect on skin tissue. The alcohol-based topical numbing agent includes a topical homogenous chemical composition including a primary solvent including a safe and effective quantity of isopropyl alcohol; a secondary solvent including a safe and effective quantity of water; at least one anesthetic including a safe and effective quantity of benzocaine; and a safe and effective quantity of a skin analgesic including menthol.
