  • Patent number: 6008145
Abstract: A composition for the permanent hydrophilation of polyolefin fibers and filaments and non-woven textile articles (non-wovens) produced therefrom, contains 15 to 75 parts by weight of at least one non-ionic surfactant, and 25 to 85 parts by weight of at least one quaternary ammonium compound and/or at least one cationically modified polydimethyl siloxane. The composition has excellent permanent hydrophilating properties, an excellent cohesion effect and good antistatic properties. When diluted with water, these compositions can therefore be used particularly satisfactorily as spinning preparations for the permanent hydrophilic finishing of polyolefin fibers, polyolefin filaments and non-wovens produced therefrom, in particular fleeces.
