Abstract: A medical pressure sensitive adhesive mass having a moisture vapor transmission of at least 10,000 g/m.sup.2 /24.h (measured with a pressure sensitive adhesive film having a weight of 30 g/m.sup.2) and an excellent adhesion to both dry skin and that is moist due to perspiration, comprising:A) a copolymer synthesized from components comprising:1) 50 to 95%-wt., preferably 70 to 90%-wt., based on the weight of the copolymer, of one or several alkyl esters of acrylic and/or methacrylic acid have 4 to 12 C-atoms in the alkyl residue; and2) 5 to 50%-wt., preferably 10 to 30%-wt., based on the weight of the copolymer, of a vinylcarboxylic acid,B) 25 to 90%-wt., preferably 50 to 80%-wt., of a hydrophilic emulsifier comprising tertiary or quaternary ammonium groups,C) 15 to 60%-wt., preferably 20 to 40%-wt., of a hydrophilic polyoxyalkylene groups-containing emulsifier which is free from amino groups,D) 1 to 20%-wt., preferably 3 to 15%-wt., of a polyvinylcarboxylic acid,E) 1 to 15%-wt., preferably 3 to 10%-wt.

Abstract: A transdermal system employing a basic active component-permeable, pressure sensitive adhesive polymer material, particularly for use with basic active components for use in transdermal administration of systemically or topically acting medicaments constituted by such active components. The adhesive polymer is a homopolymer or copolymer produced using basic monomers preferably on an acrylate base. A process for production of the polymer material comprises mixing monomers suitable for the production of an adhesive by polymerization with basic monomers which can be polymerized and copolymerizing the mixture. The adhesive composition is in particular useful with basic active components in salt form and in which the therapeutically active agent is a Lewis base.

Abstract: The invention concerns an electrically conductive, transparent, pressure-sensitive adhesive film with an electric conductivity above 10.sup.-5 S, for the production of biomedical electrodes, consisting of100 parts by weight of a carboxyl group-containing copolymer on an acrylate basis;50 to 150 parts by weight of a water-soluble amine;50 to 250 parts by weight of a polyoxyalkylene with a molecular mass of below 1000 and/or a polyalcohol and/or its derivatives;50 to 200 parts by weight of a solution of electrolytes and0.1 to 6 parts by weight of a cross-linking agent.
