Abstract: A user device transmits to a server, a SIP OPTIONS request that includes a list of two or more recipients. The server, in turn, sends a SIP OPTIONS request to each of the recipients, receives a response from each of the recipients, and sends an aggregated response to the user device. The user device thereafter participates in a multiparty communications session with the recipients.

Abstract: A method and a device for conveying traffic are provided, wherein a master node is connected to a first slave node and to a second slave node; wherein the first slave node and the second slave node comprise a connection; wherein traffic is conveyed between the master node and the first slave node; and wherein in case of a fault condition the traffic is conveyed between the master node and the first slave node via the second slave node and the direct connection between the first slave node and the second slave node. Abstract: A method and a device convey traffic in a network. The network contains at least one intermediate network element. A master node is connected via the at least one intermediate network element to a first slave node. A deputy node is connected via the at least one intermediate network element to the first slave node. Traffic is conveyed between the master node and the first slave node. In the case of a fault condition the traffic is conveyed between the deputy node and the first slave node. Furthermore, a communication system ideally contains such a device.
