  • Patent number: 11000768
Abstract: Implementations include objects displayed on a computing device's display screen arranged in a pattern such as a grid. Upon selection of object(s) having at least one common property (e.g., color) with other adjacent object(s), the adjacent object(s) having one or more common properties may be removed causing spaces to be opened up into which other of the displayed objects, and objects off of the screen display, are moved into in order to fill up the spaces. When the movement of the other objects creates one or more collisions of objects having the common property(s) then those colliding and adjacent objects may be, in turn, removed from the display. The process of removing objects, filling the space with new objects, and checking for a condition (e.g., a common property) may be repeated in a “chain reaction” without user intervention until the condition ends.

  • Patent number: 6935945
Abstract: An internet game show host program running on a server computer retrieves a visual clue that is associated with a correct textual answer. Each contestant interactively selects the portions of the visual clue to be exposed. The entire visual clue is loaded onto each of the contestants' computers prior to the beginning of each game, and the contestants' game software progressively exposes the visual clue. Contestants fill in a series of blanks with the answer and activate a send button. The contestants' game software sends the contestant's answer along with a time stamp indicating the time elapsed since the beginning of the internet game show. At the end of the internet game show, the game show host computer compares the times that the correct responses were sent. The correct response that contains the earliest send time is the winning response.

  • Publication number: 20020016196
Abstract: An internet game show host program running on a server computer retrieves a visual clue that is associated with a correct textual answer. In the some embodiments, the visual clue is progressively exposed to the contestants in an identical manner in real time. In other embodiments, each contestant interactively determines which portions of the visual clue to which he is exposed. In some embodiments, the entire visual clue is loaded onto each of the contestants'computers prior to the beginning of each game, although the contestants' game software is written such that the visual clue is progressively exposed. In other embodiments, each of the progressive portions of the visual clue are sent to each of the contestants simultaneously during the play of the game through the internet as streams from the internet game show host.

  • Patent number: 5743796
Abstract: A game having a housing with a plurality of spaces on the exterior of the housing. Each of the spaces has an input device and an indicator corresponding to the space, and each indicator has an off state and a plurality of distinct player states. Inside the housing is a controller which communicates with each of the input devices and indicators. The controller limits the number of indicators indicating each one of said distinct player states to a predetermined number. The predetermined number is less than half of the number of spaces on the exterior of the housing.

  • Patent number: 5171021
Abstract: A throwing device which has an elongated body having an opening which completely extends through the throwing device forming a constant diameter air passageway, the air passageway being coaxial with the longitudinal axis of the throwing device. The elongated body is formed by joining two truncated substantially conical bodies. The throwing device is stabilized in flight by making the first conical body heavier than the second conical body and by making the second conical body longer and lighter than the first conical body. The first conical body has generally convex exterior lines and the second conical body has generally concave exterior lines.

  • Patent number: 5165781
Abstract: A flashlight including a handle for receiving a power supply and a light source releasably mounted to the handle for emitting light. An exterior transparent cup is coupled to the handle and a middle transparent cup is coupled to the handle. The second transparent cup is positioned intermediate the first transparent cup and the light source. The exterior transparent cup and the middle transparent cup define a outer chamber therebetween for receiving colored fluid therein. An interior transparent cup is coupled to the handle and positioned between the middle transparent cup and the light source. The middle transparent cup and exterior transparent cup define an inner chamber for receiving colored fluid. Accordingly, the light emitted from the light source passes through the colored fluids and colored light is emitted from the exterior transparent cup.

  • Patent number: 4632391
Abstract: A portable exercising device is disclosed having a toroidally shaped inner chamber. A free moving body is disposed within the chamber. In use, the free moving body is placed into rotation within the chamber. The angular momentum of the body provides a resistance to motion to enhance the exercising effects. In the preferred embodiment, the device is ring-shaped and includes an elongated handle mounted through a center aperture. The device may also be used as a muscle tension reliever and as a coordination developer.
