    Abstract: A method and an apparatus for an application uniformly accessing a plurality of onboard devices of a vehicle are provided. The method includes registering the plurality of devices by assigning each device a device ID; when an application sends a message in a uniform format to at least one device of the plurality of devices, determining an address of each of the at least one device, determining a format of each of the at least one device based on the device ID, translating the message into the format of each of the at least one device, and sending the translated message to the corresponding device of the at least one device. The present disclosure provides a solution which enables applications to access all kinds of onboard devices uniformly, even these devices are made by different manufacturers and each has its specific device driver.

    Abstract: A method for broadcasting a message in a vehicular ad hoc network and a vehicle mounted communication system are provided. The method may include: a first communication device mounted on a first vehicle receiving a message from a second vehicle; identifying a first number of vehicles which are within a communication range of the first communication device; calculating a first count-down time based on the first number, where the greater the first number the shorter the first count-down time; and if the first communication device does not receive the message again before the first count-down time ends, broadcasting the message when the first count-down time ends. The efficiency and reliability of message broadcasting may be improved.

    Abstract: A method for communicating messages in a channel of a wireless communication network is provided. In the channel, successive cycles, each of which including a predetermined number of successive time slots, are defined. The method may include: a first node obtaining a first list of its neighboring nodes before a first qth time slot; broadcasting a first message in the first qth time slot; receiving acknowledge information from other nodes within the network for one cycle after the first qth time slot; obtaining a second list of its neighboring nodes after the first qth time slot; and determining whether qth time slots are proper for communicating messages by the first node by checking whether all nodes on both the first and the second lists have received the first message based on the received acknowledge information, each piece of which indicates whether a corresponding node has received the first message.

    Abstract: A method and a system for communicating a high priority message in a vehicular ad hoc network is provided. In the communication channel, time slots are defined, and N successive time slots constitute one cycle, where m th time slot of each cycle is reserved for transmitting a pre-emption message. The method may include: selecting a sub-frame, transmitted in a first q th time slot, having a priority lower than that of the high priority message; transmitting in a first m th time slot after the first q th time slot a pre-emption message indicating that a second q th time slot, which is after the first m th time slot, will be occupied to transmit the high priority message; and transmitting in the second q th time slot the high priority message. By using the method and system, messages with higher priority can be transmitted timely even under very congested conditions.

    Abstract: A communication method and system in an Ad-Hoc network using a RR-ALOHA based protocol are provided. The method may include: receiving a data frame which includes N slots, where N is a positive integer greater than two, where a slot includes a payload and a frame information field, where a frame information field includes N sub-frame information fields which correspond to the N slots, respectively, where a sub-frame information field includes a source temporary identifier field for indicating which node occupies its corresponding slot; and if a source temporary identifier field contained in the received data frame equals to a first predetermined value representing the status of free, determining that a corresponding slot is free and can be reserved. By using the method of the disclosure, communication efficiency is improved.

In the present invention, it is determined whether Rank Index RI is more than 2; if the RI is no more than 2, a first half branch of a coding binary tree is used to represent joint coding of the RI and W1 when RI=1 and RI=2; if the RI is more than 2, a second half branch of the coding binary tree is used to represent remaining separate codings and/or joint codings when the RI is more than 2; and processing results of the above coding steps are output. The present invention may be applied to an equal-length coding or an unequal-length coding. The present invention has advantages such as easy implementation, lower signaling overhead etc., and may be suitable for an LTE-A/4G cellular communication system and a future 5G cellular communication system.
