  • Publication number: 20070245828
Abstract: Disclosed is a vibration test method for evaluating the vibration resistance of a specimen, comprising a test specification setting step (S10) of determining reference vibration conditions for the specimen based on transport conditions during actual transportation; a reference value attainment step (S20) of calculating an amplitude level and a reference accumulated fatigue value of the specimen under the reference vibration conditions; a test condition determination step (S30) of determining test vibration conditions and a test time based on an allowable amplification factor of the amplitude level and a desired vibration time, so that an accumulated fatigue value which is calculated from the vibration detection value of the specimen satisfies the reference accumulated fatigue value; and a vibration-imparting step (S40) of vibrating the specimen based on the test vibration conditions and the test time.

  • Patent number: 6741438
Abstract: A lightning-arresting system includes a lightning rod and an underground conductive network connected to the rod. The network includes a plurality of rectangular meshes or radially extending lines. The network is laid under a structure protected from lightning strikes. The coverage area of the network is greater than the building area of the structure to be protected.

  • Patent number: 5549005
Abstract: A vibration testing apparatus which is minimized in size and capable of being assembled with ease includes a vibrating section (11), a vibration generator (10), and a transmitting section (21) for transmitting vibrations from the vibration generator (10) to the vibrating section. The transmitting section (21) is formed with a pair of opposed parallel pressure-receiving plates (23, 24) that are orthogonal to the direction of vibrations, with the vibrating section (11) interposed between the pressure-receiving plates. The vibrating section (11) is formed with pressure-bearing surfaces (14) in opposed parallel relation to the pair of pressure-receiving plates (23, 24). High pressure fluid is fed into clearances (16), defined between the pressure-receiving plates (23, 24) and the pressure-bearing surfaces (14), to form a static pressure bearing. The pressure-receiving plates (23, 24) are clamped by a connecting member (25) under a load whose value enables the static pressure bearing to function as a spring.
