  • Patent number: 7784612
Abstract: A packaging container for acupuncture needles capable of storing a plurality of acupuncture needles is provided. The packaging container (storage containers) in which the acupuncture needles to be used are stored can be opened at one time, according to the number of acupuncture needles to be used. On one end portion side of a packaging container (blister package) including a container body and a sheet member detachably attached to a planar surface of the container body, a free portion in which the sheet member is not attached to an outer frame portion of the container body, is disposed. Further, perforated lines (cut portions and uncut portions) are disposed along center lines of boundary portions from one end portion of the packaging container to the other end portion thereof. Here, the length of the uncut portion on the free portion is made longer than the length of each uncut portion on a portion other than the free portion.

  • Patent number: 5397537
Abstract: A test instrument for uniformly spreading a collected specimen on a reagent layer has a first opening for collecting the specimen, a specimen spreading layer having an upper surface a portion of which is exposed to the first opening, the reagent layer provided so that an upper surface thereof is in contact with the lower surface of the specimen spreading layer, and a support layer provided on a lower surface of the reagent layer. Even if the specimen does not attached itself in a uniform distribution over the large area of the first opening, it will be evenly distributed at the second opening, the opening area of which is smaller than that of the first opening at which measurement is performed. When an absorbing layer provided in the proximity of the edge portion of the first opening is supplied with an excess amount of the specimen, a direct path to the absorbing layer is blocked by the inner peripheral region of the first opening so that the absorbing layer is soaked via the spreading layer.

  • Patent number: 5054948
Abstract: A liquid applicator includes a case for containing a liquid and an applying member, housed in the case, for applying the liquid. The case is broken to expose the applying member, thereby allowing application of the liquid via the applying member. The shape of the distal end face of the applying member is formed to be substantially rhombic or elliptic so that the thickness in one direction is larger than the thickness in another direction perpendicular to the one direction. By moving the distal end face of the applying member in the another direction perpendicular to the one direction, the liquid can be applied on a wide affected part within a short time period.
