Abstract: A method for exchanging information with a base station includes: communicating with the base station using electromagnetic waves with a first frequency; detecting a first connection request carried in the first electromagnetic; receiving the first connection request if the first connection request is detected; and receiving information carried in the electromagnetic waves with a second frequency that is higher than the first frequency from the base station. An apparatus for exchanging information with the base station is also disclosed.

Abstract: An electrical receptacle to prevent injuries deduced by misoperation is provided in the present invention. The electrical receptacle includes a power socket, a direct current (DC) power supply, a detecting switch, a controller, and a relay form a circuit loop for detecting whether a power plug is inserted into the power socket. The detecting switch is placed under the power socket without any electrical connection with the power socket. A live wire is connected to the power socket via a switch of the relay and a neutral wire is connected to the power socket directly. The switch of the relay closes on condition of the relay is electrified by the DC power supply.

Abstract: A malicious software prevention method is used for detecting malicious software and includes receiving data transmitted from a host machine or a mobile terminal and temporally storing the received data as temporary data in a random access memory; detecting malicious software by scanning the temporary data with malicious data definitions stored in a read only memory; cutting off a data connection between the host machine and the malicious software prevention apparatus or between the mobile terminal and the malicious software prevention apparatus if the malicious software is detected in the temporary data.

Abstract: An adapter for storing data includes a male connector, a first slot, a second slot, a switch circuit, and a controller. The male connector is used for connecting to an electronic device. The first slot is used for connecting a first memory card. The second slot is used for connecting a second memory card. The switch circuit is used for selectively connecting the male connector with the first slot and the second slot. The controller is used for detecting states of the first memory card and the second memory card and controlling the switch circuit to connect the male connector with one of the first slot and the second slot based on detected states.

Abstract: A handheld device includes a first wireless transceiver and a second wireless transceiver. The first wireless transceiver is used for implementing normal communication. The second wireless transceiver is used for abnormal conditions. When the first wireless transceiver is used, the second wireless transceiver is disabled for saving electrical energy. The second wireless transceiver uses a different frequency from the first wireless transceiver. The second wireless transceiver can be used to establish a wireless link directly between the handheld device and a rescuing center without using base transceiver stations.
