A retaining opening is defined in the mounting pane. The fan module includes a fan and a retaining member. The fan is configured for generating airflow towards the vent. The retaining member is attached to the fan module. The retaining member includes a body and an arm. The body includes a resilient portion. A protrusion protrudes from the resilient portion corresponding to the retaining opening. The arm is connected to the resilient portion. The arm is capable of being actuated to pull the resilient portion to deform away from the mounting panel to disengage the protrusion from the retaining opening.

A gap (1633) is formed in the second securing piece and communicated with the second pivot hole. The damping member includes a damping portion (25) configured to dampen vibration for the data storage device and a shaft (22) inserted through the damping portion. The shaft has a first end (21) and a second end (23) protruding out from the damping portion respectively. The first end of the shaft is rotatably engaged in the first pivot hole. The second end of the shaft is rotatably engaged in the second pivot hole and releasable from the gap.

Abstract: A mounting apparatus for mounting a fan in an enclosure, includes a rack, a first linkage piece and a second linkage piece. The rack is mounted in the enclosure, and has a receiving room and a partition bounding a side of the receiving room. The partition defines a notch. The first linkage piece is pivotally mounted on a first corner of the fan, and the second linkage piece is pivotally mounted on a second corner of the fan which is diagonal with the first corner. Adjacent portions of the first linkage piece and the second linkage piece are pivotally attached together. The first linkage piece includes a tab inserted into the notch of the partition when the fan is put into the receiving room to secure the fan in the receiving room. The second linkage piece is capable of pulled to cause the first linkage piece to rotate the tab out of the notch, thus freeing the fan.

Abstract: An electronic device enclosure includes a chassis having a base plate, a number of fans, a number of securing boards mounted on the corresponding fans, and a number of pivot members. The receiving bracket includes a first sidewall, a second sidewall parallel to the first sidewall, and a bottom wall secured to the base plate and connecting the first sidewall to the second sidewall together such that the first sidewall, the second sidewall, and the bottom wall cooperatively define a receiving housing configured for receiving the fans. The pivot members each has a pivot end attached to the corresponding securing boards and a securing end secured to the first sidewall of the receiving bracket. Each pivot member is capable of rotating about a pivot axis of the securing board and configured for securing the corresponding fan to the receiving housing.

The bracket includes a pair of side plates, wherein each of the side plates defines a guide slot therein. The guide slot has an entrance. The shielding member includes a front panel and a pair of side panels bent from opposite edges of the front panel. A resilient catch piece is formed on each side panel. An inclined portion is formed on the resilient catch piece and inserted into the entrance of the guide slot when the catch piece is resiliently deformed, and blocks the shielding member from separating from bracket when the inclined portion engages with an edge of the entrance.
