The method includes: receiving, by a dynamic bandwidth allocation device, bandwidth request messages from bandwidth request devices through at least two access ports of a convergence device, wherein the bandwidth request messages include requested bandwidth information; allocating bandwidth information to the bandwidth request device based on the requested bandwidth information and remaining bandwidth information of an upstream egress port of the convergence device, wherein the remaining bandwidth information is a difference between limited bandwidth information of the upstream egress port and bandwidth information already allocated; and sending a response message to the bandwidth request device through the access port.

Abstract: An embodiment of the invention provides a method for guaranteeing QoS of services in a broadband access network includes: establishing a plurality of logical channels between a plurality of subscriber access devices and a Broadband Access Server (BAS) respectively, allocating bandwidth resources for each of the plurality of logical channels; determining whether to allow a real-time service to access the broadband access network according to bandwidth resources occupation information of the plurality of logical channels. Embodiments of the invention provides a broadband access network and device for guaranteeing QoS of services as well.
