  • Publication number: 20150336191
Abstract: A variable-tooth-thickness worm-type tool comprises a main body and a spiral blade distributed on the main body and featuring variable tooth thickness. The main body and the spiral blade are respectively described with a rack cutter coordinate system and a tool coordinate system. The vector parameters based on the rack cutter coordinate system are transformed into vector parameters based on the tool coordinate system so as to simulate the main body with a rack cutter and develop the spiral blade to have variable tooth thickness. Thus, when a gear blank is tooled, the distance between the centers of the tool holder and the workpiece holder can be set as a constant, and the feed in the radial degree-of-freedom can be neglected, with twists of tooth flanks being inhibited.

Abstract: An active/self-sensing compensating hydrostatic bearing is disposed between first and second structures to allow relative movement between the first and second structures. The hydrostatic bearing includes a body and a compensator. The body, fixed to the first structure and separated from the second structure by a first gap, has a chamber and an input passage and an output passage both communicating with the chamber. The compensator is disposed in the chamber. A compensating passage, communicating with the input passage and the output passage, is formed between the body and the compensator. A pressurized fluid flows from the input passage to the output passage through the compensating passage, and the pressurized fluid in the output passage flows to the first gap to maintain the stability and the rigidity for the relative movement between the first and second structures. A hydrostatic bearing module using the hydrostatic bearing is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20130199323
Abstract: A zero backlash gear structure, comprising: an engaging element, a compound gear set, an elastic element, and a fixing element. Wherein, the engaging element is provided with a plurality of engaging slots. The compound gear set includes a compound gear, a gear shaft, and a spline; wherein, the compound gear is provided with at least two gears, said plurality of gears can be engaged to a plurality of engaging slots. Said fixing element is sleeved onto said gear shaft, to press against said plurality of gears and said elastic element. When backlash occurs, said elastic element is used to make said plurality of gears on said compound gear set to get close to each other automatically, so that said fixing element and said compound gear set can move in synchronism, thus achieving zero backlash in both forward and reverse rotations.

  • Patent number: 7104870
Abstract: The present invention relates to a modified radial motion method for modifying lengthwise curvature of face-milling spiral bevel and hypoid gears, which is capable of modifying a locus of a cutter center into a curve, without changing a head cutter's geometry, by providing modified radial motion of the head cutter cooperating with rotation of a cradle. The modified radial motion method in accordance with the present invention completely solves the contradictions caused by the existing lengthwise curvature modification methods, which is able to increase the adjustability of the gear set without reducing the tooth contact.

  • Patent number: 6736243
Abstract: A mechanical type disc brake for bicycle mainly includes a housing, a mounting bracket for connecting the housing to a fork of the bicycle, a pull bar pivotally connected to an outer side of the housing, an actuating rod extended into the housing via the pull bar, and a toggle mechanism, two sliders, two brake linings, and a restoring element separately mounted in a locating space in the house at predetermined positions. When the pull bar is pulled, the actuating rod is caused to vertically act on the toggle mechanism for two actuating blocks thereof to move outward and push the sliders and the brake linings to create a brake effect. Contact surfaces between the actuating blocks of the toggle mechanism and the sliders are cambered surfaces to avoid an overly large frictional force between the brake linings and brake discs that would result in a brake dragging.
