  • Publication number: 20240157274
Abstract: A gas-liquid separator, adapted for separating liquid and gas in an ebullated bed reactor under operating conditions, is disclosed. The device may be used in the petroleum and chemical processing industries in catalytic reactions of hydrocarbonaceous feedstocks in the presence of hydrogen, at an elevated temperature and pressure, to separate gas and liquid from gas and liquid mixtures within the reactor. The device is generally vertically oriented and may be installed in the flow through pan of an ebullated bed reactor. The device comprises a transfer conduit for transferring a gas-liquid mixture stream from a lower section of an ebullated bed reactor to an upper section of the reactor, a vortex separation section having gas-rich and liquid-rich stream outlets, and a gas-rich stream outlet conduit located on top of and adjacent to the vortex separation section. The transfer conduit includes internal means to produce a spiral flow in the gas-liquid mixture, such as a helical or spiral insert.

  • Patent number: 11965844
Abstract: A method (and corresponding system) that characterizes a porous rock sample is provided, which involves subjecting the porous rock sample to an applied experimental pressure where a first fluid that saturates the porous rock sample is displaced by a second fluid, and subsequently applying an NMR pulse sequence to the rock sample, detecting resulting NMR signals, and generating and storing NMR data representative of the detected NMR signals. The application of experimental pressure and NMR measurements can be repeated over varying applied experimental pressure to obtain NMR data associated with varying applied experimental pressure values. The NMR data can be processed using inversion to obtain a probability distribution function of capillary pressure values as a function of NMR property values. The probability distribution function of capillary pressure values as a function of NMR property values can be processed to determine at least one parameter indicative of the porous rock sample.

  • Publication number: 20240078372
Abstract: The freshness of one or more terms in a documentation, indicative of a currency of the one or more terms is computed. Each term includes one or more constituent words, and the terms are visually marked as current or out-of-date based on the computed freshness. Upon marking a term as out-of-date, a latest term for the out-of-date term is retrieved or a most possible latest term for the out-of-date term is predicted.

  • Publication number: 20240073614
Abstract: The present invention provides a coaxial speaker including a supporting ring, a magnetic circuit system, a first vibration system, and a second vibration system. The second vibration system locates coaxially with the first vibration system. The first vibration system includes a first diaphragm and a first voice coil. The second vibration system includes a second diaphragm and a second voice coil. The first diaphragm is used for generating treble sound, the second diaphragm is used for generating bass sound. The supporting ring includes a first end portion, a second end portion, and a connecting portion. A projection of the first diaphragm is partially overlapped with a projection of the second diaphragm along a vibrating direction of the coaxial speaker. The treble diaphragm design uses a Z-axis direction vibration space of the bass diaphragm to increase the vibration area to improve the performance.

  • Patent number: 11054299
Abstract: A weighing device (1) has a load-bearing portion (10) that supports an object being weighed, a plurality of transition portions (20), and a separation portion (30). The transition portions are positioned on the separation portion, and the load-bearing portion is positioned on the transition portions, with the transition portions connected to the load-bearing portion and the separation portion. A plurality of weighing sensors (40) are provided at a bottom of the separation portion. A support portion (50) is below the weighing sensors to provide support therefor. The weighing device simplifies the loading condition of weighing sensors and isolates the horizontal mechanical deformation/distortion of the weighing load-bearing mechanism. It also reduces the influence of mechanical deformation/distortion, thereby improving the weighing performance and the effectiveness of the weighing device.

  • Publication number: 20110080471
Abstract: A method for three-dimensional shape measurement provides for generating sinusoidal fringe patterns by defocusing binary patterns. A method for three-dimensional shape measurement may include (a) projecting a plurality of binary patterns onto at least one object; (b) projecting three phase-shifted fringe patterns onto the at least one object; (c) capturing images of the at least one object with the binary patterns and the phase-shifted fringe patterns; (d) obtaining codewords from the binary patterns; (e) calculating a wrapped phase map from the phase-shifted fringe patterns; (f) applying the codewords to the wrapped phase map to produce an unwrapped phase map; and (g) computing coordinates using the unwrapped phase map for use in the three-dimensional shape measurement of the at least one object. A system for performing the method is also provided. The high-speed real-time 3D shape measurement may be used in numerous applications including medical science, biometrics, and entertainment.
