  • Patent number: 7936832
Abstract: An ICI cancellation iterative receiver and an ICI cancellation method in the wireless communication system is provided. In order to eliminate the Inter-carrier-interference (ICI) due to phase noise, an adaptive ICI cancellation scheme based on the wireless communication system is presented. In order to correct the contaminated preamble symbols due to phase noise, a first LMS adaptive filter in the receiver cancels the ICI. In the following data symbols of a frame, joint of the turbo decoder and channel estimation is provided. The complexity of the joint algorithm is analyzed and the algorithm can be implemented in the wireless communication system. The simulation results show that the performance can be improved dramatically.

  • Patent number: 7778338
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and device for estimating a timing error and a frequency offset in the MIMO mobile communication system. In a system including a plurality of transmit antennas and a plurality of receive antennas, a predetermined preamble symbol is inserted into a frame to be transmitted by a transmitting device, and pseudo noise is multiplied to the preamble symbol, and result signal is transmitted through each transmit antenna. A receiving device receives the signal through each receive antenna, extracts a preamble symbol from the OFDM symbol, and multiplies local pseudo noise that corresponds to the pseudo noise used by the transmitting device and is shifted by the extracted preamble symbol. A timing error is estimated and compensated according to the correlation of the pseudo noise of the transmitting device and the local pseudo noise of the receiving device. A frequency offset is estimated and compensated according to the phase difference between the preamble symbols.

  • Publication number: 20080008082
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for estimating a timing error and a frequency offset in a high-speed portable Internet system and a method thereof. A predetermined preamble symbol is added to an OFDM frame to be transmitted by a transmitter according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, an IFFT operation is performed, and then a pseudo noise is multiplexed by the preamble symbol to estimate the timing error and the frequency offset. A receiver receives an OFDM symbol, extracts the preamble symbol from the OFDM symbol, and multiplexes the extracted preamble symbol by a local pseudo noise, which is equal to the pseudo noise used by the transmitter but is shifted.

  • Patent number: 7117111
Abstract: The present invention provides an adjusting method of a tilt meter. First, multiple holding signals of the same direction output from a tilt sensor, respectively, are differentiated to obtain at least a tilt signal. Then, a first judging step is performed to determine whether the tilt signal is in a predetermined range or not and a rough tuning step is executed to limit the voltage of the tilt signal in the predetermined range. Then, the voltage of the tilt signal in the predetermined range is amplified by a predetermined multiple. Afterwards, a second judging step is performed to determine whether the tilt signal after amplification is equal to a level voltage or not and a delicate tuning step is proceeded to adjust the voltage of the tilt signal to become equal to the level voltage.

  • Publication number: 20060161362
Abstract: An adjusting method of a tilt meter is described. The adjusting method of the tilt meter comprises the following steps. First, a plurality of level measuring signals is input to the tilt sensor, and the tilt sensor outputs a series of output signals. Then, the output signals are divided into a plurality of holding signals. Next, the holding signals of the same direction are differentiated to obtain at least a tilt signal and a first judging step is then proceeded to limit the tilt signal to within a predetermined range. Then, the tilt signal in the predetermined range is amplified, and a second judging step is proceeded to make the tilt signal equal to a predetermined level voltage. When the tilt signal equals the predetermined level voltage, the tilt meter is level.
