Abstract: A flashlight includes a shell, a battery device held in the shell, a light emitting member installed on a front end of the shell, and a tail cap for the shell; the battery device includes a casing, and several single-part batteries held in the casing; the casing comprises two covering parts, which are joined together; the battery device further includes a socket on the casing; positive and negative poles of the battery device are exposed through front and rear ends of the casing respectively, and they are electrically connected with the sockets; a circuit board is secured in the tail cap, and electrically connected with the battery device; the circuit board has a built-in microcomputer controller to control power to the light emitting member; after a plug of a charger is inserted in the socket of the battery device, the batteries together will be charged through the charger.

Abstract: A battery device includes a battery set, and a casing; the casing includes a right covering part and a left covering part, which are joined together to provide a holding room for the battery set; the battery set include at least two batteries, and are held in the casing with positive and negative poles thereof being exposed through front and tail ends of the casing respectively; a socket is held in the casing, and electrically connected with the positive and the negative poles of the battery set; thus, after a plug of a charger is inserted in the socket, the single-part batteries together will be charged through the charger without the battery device being located on the charger.

Abstract: A system for managing an Instant Messenger account including a process server and a database server, and the process server is adapted to receive enhanced association information of at least one account from at least one client terminal, transmit the enhanced association information to the database server; when receiving a service request from one client terminal, acquire the enhanced association information of an account corresponding to the client terminal from the database server, generate verification information according to the security level of the service request and transmit the verification information to the client terminal to verify the identity of the user using the client terminal; and the database server is adapted to save the enhanced association information of the at least one account.

Abstract: A flashlight includes a main body, a light source on a front end of the main body, batteries held in the main body, a bottom cover on a tail end of the main body, and a control device for controlling brightness and frequency of flashing of the light source; the control device is secured in the bottom cover, and electrically connected to the power source, and it includes a control switch sticking out through the bottom cover; the main body houses first and second conducting plates, which are connected to two poles of the battery respectively; the main body further houses a first elastic element positioned between and electrically connected to a positive pole terminal of the control device and the first conducting plate, and a second elastic element positioned between and electrically connected to a negative pole terminal of the control device and the second conducting plate.

Abstract: A flashlight includes a main part, a light source, a switch, an LCD display, and a control device; the control device will measure the electricity content of the batteries with a result of the measurement being shown on the LCD display; the length of time the batteries will last is also shown on the LCD display; the switch can be displaced to either one of several different positions, and the control device will make the light source produce light in a manner according to the position of the switch, e.g. flashing on and off repeatedly, and keeping on shining; in other words, the flashing frequency and brightness of the light source can be changed with the help of the switch and the control device; the LCD display will show information about the way the light source is producing light at the same time.

Abstract: A packetized-data processing apparatus includes a memory configured to store core groups of packetized data, a channel coupled to the memory and having a total bandwidth for transferring packets of data from the core groups, and a scheduler operatively coupled to the memory and the channel and configured to allocate amounts of the total bandwidth of the channel to each of the core groups that is backlogged, while limiting the amount of allocated bandwidth, and a corresponding transfer rate of packets of data, for each core group to a maximum allowable bandwidth for each core group, to schedule transfer of packetized data of the core groups from the memory to the channel in accordance with the respective amounts of allocated bandwidth for the core groups.

Abstract: A wireless services data network supporting the mobility of an Internet Protocol (IP) over ATM networks is implemented such that a joint ATM-layer hand-off and MAC-layer hand-off are respectively used to handle in-session and inter-session mobility. In this way the effect of mobility is localized and transparent to higher-layer protocols. Also, different functions, including the so-called Address Resolution protocol, location of a mobile, and ATM connection, are combined to reduce front-end delay for connectionless packet transmissions in connection-oriented ATM networks.
