    Abstract: This application discloses a communication method and a communication apparatus. A control network element first obtains real-time control capability information of a plurality of execution network elements, where the real-time control capability information indicates performance parameters used by the execution network element to implement various real-time control functions. Then, the control network element determines at least one target network element from the plurality of execution network elements based on the real-time control capability information of the execution network elements and real-time control capability information of the control network element. In this way, real-time control information can be transmitted through a real-time control transmission channel established based on the control network element and the target network element, and each target network element can identify the real-time control transmission information.

One example method includes allocating, by a network device to a terminal device according to a preset rule, a transmission resource for transmitting a sounding reference signal (SRS) in a cell to which the terminal device belongs. Transmission resources for transmitting SRSs in different cells do not overlap at all or partially overlap. The network device receives the SRS transmitted by the terminal device on the allocated transmission resource, and performs channel quality estimation based on the received SRS to obtain CSI.

    Abstract: This application provides a downlink control information transmission method and an apparatus. A network device determines that a terminal device is in the first transmission mode in which the terminal device demodulates a PDSCH based on a DMRS. The network device sends a first PDSCH and first DCI to the terminal device. The first DCI includes a first field. The first field indicates, based on a resource allocation type 2, a resource position occupied by the first PDSCH. The terminal device may demodulate the first PDSCH at the resource position indicated by the first field. An existing DCI format indicates a resource position based on a resource allocation type 0 or a resource allocation type 1. The first DCI indicates a resource position based on the resource allocation type 2.

The base station combines the data carried on the time-frequency resources of the at least two cells, and either transmits at least two directional beams by using the first antenna, where the at least two directional beams have different directions, and wherein the at least two directional beams are in a one-to-one correspondence with the at least two cells, or the base station transmits one directional beam by using the first antenna.
