  • Patent number: 9733375
Abstract: System and method for enriching a bandwidth of seismic data related to a subsurface of a body of water. The system includes streamers and sources that are towed at alternating depths during consecutive and/or adjacent line of sails or during the same line of sail.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 1, 2011
Date of Patent: August 15, 2017
    Assignee: CGGVERITAS SERVICES (U.S.) INC.
    Inventor: Zhaohong Wu
  • Patent number: 9341730
Abstract: Seismic sources including a steerable submersible float and related methods are provided. A seismic source includes a submersible float and a plurality of individual sources. The submersible float is configured to control at least one of a depth and a horizontal position of the submersible float by adjusting angles of one or more rotatable surfaces attached to the submersible float. The individual sources hang under the submersible float and are configured to operate at a depth larger than the depth of the submersible float.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 16, 2012
Date of Patent: May 17, 2016
    Assignee: CGG SERVICES SA
    Inventor: Zhaohong Wu
  • Patent number: 9254509
Abstract: A cleaning device for cleaning a marine streamer towed underwater and related methods are provided. The cleaning device includes a housing configured to be attached to the streamer, a motor mounted inside the housing, a propeller configured be rotated by the motor and to drive the housing along and relative to the streamer in a towing direction, and a controller configured to control the motor and the propeller.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 5, 2012
Date of Patent: February 9, 2016

  • Patent number: 7796075
Abstract: A method to tune electronic devices in general using R/2R ladder networks to obtain fixed or variable accurate properties that may include, but are not limited to resistance, current, voltage, and/or timing. As a particular application, a method for internally calibrating a digital-to-analog converter is shown in detail. The DAC uses an extended R/2R ladder to improve the converting accuracy by mapping the extended bits into the original bits. A mapping matrix is maintained, which can be rewritten by an internal calibration process.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 30, 2007
Date of Patent: September 14, 2010
