  • Patent number: 12124431
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a computer-implemented method, a computer system, and a computer program product for data maintenance is provided. The present invention may include receiving, by one or more processing units, a maintenance request for a first data set stored in a first non-transient storage; copying, by one or more processing units, the first data set into a second non-transient storage as a second data set during a copy phase in response to receiving the maintenance request; writing, by one or more processing units, update content indicated by an update request to the first data set into a first transient memory in response to receiving the update request during the copy phase; and updating, by one or more processing units, the second data set based on the written update content in the first transient memory during a write-back phase responsive to a completion of the copy phase.

  • Publication number: 20210162365
Abstract: A gene chip includes a chip carrier, a plurality of DNA nanoballs assembled on the chip carrier, and a polymer film formed on the chip carrier and wrapping the DNA nanoballs. The polymer film includes at least one of a film of a positively charged polymer, a film of a positively charged polymer which is modified, a film of a zwitterionic polymer, and a composite polymer film. The composite polymer film is formed by a layer-by-layer self-assembly process of a positively charged polymer and a negatively charged polymer. The gene chip has good sequencing quality and different functions can be achieved by coating with different polymers, such as the chip surface rapidly drying out and surface non-specific adsorption. A method of preparing a gene chip is further disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20150235749
Abstract: A magnetic core utilized in a reactor includes an upper yoke, a bottom yoke, and at least two core columns. The closed magnetic loop is formed by the upper yoke, the bottom yoke, and the core columns. The core columns include at least one first magnetic column. The first magnetic column includes a core body, a balance magnetic unit and an air gap. The balance magnetic unit and the adjacent air gap form a composite air gap for dividing the first magnetic column into different parts. The upper yoke, the bottom yoke, and the two core columns constitute a closed magnetic loop. The composite air gap is disposed at a side of the core body. The upper yoke, the bottom yoke, and the core body are made of planar laminated magnetic material. The magnetic permeability of the balance magnetic unit is lower than which of the planar laminated magnetic material.

  • Patent number: 6140115
Abstract: The acid .beta.-galactosidase cDNA of Portuguese Water (PW) dogs was isolated and sequenced. The entire encoding region of the gene consists of 2004 nucleotides coding a protein of 668 amino acids. Its encoding sequence indicates approximately 86.5% identity at the nucleotide level and about 81% identity at the amino acid level with the encoding region of the human acid .beta.-galactosidase gene. The deduced amino acid sequence contains a 24-amino acid putative signal sequence, 6 possible glycosylation sites, and 7 cysteine residues. A homozygous recessive mutation, causing G.sub.M1 -gangliosidosis in PW dogs, was identified at nucleotide G.sup.200 .fwdarw.A in exon 2 resulting in an Arg.sup.60 .fwdarw.His (mutation R60H) amino acid substitution. The mutation creates a new restriction enzyme site for PmlI. Genotyping 115 dog samples for this acid .beta.-galactosidase gene alteration readily distinguished affected homozygous recessive (n=5), heterozygous carriers (n=50), and normal homozygotes (n=60).
