  • Publication number: 20230360566
Abstract: Methods and systems for adjusting device functions based on ambient conditions or battery status are disclosed. When environmental or device conditions reach a threshold level, device function such as display brightness or display refresh rate may be adjusted. One such example, may include a method and system for image fusion with a wide camera and a second image from a narrow camera to create a composite image with unnoticeable blending between the images.

  • Publication number: 20230254446
Abstract: A system for simultaneously providing multiple perspectives of video content during a communication is disclosed. The system may receive first video content captured by a first communication device. The first video content may be associated with a first viewpoint perspective indicating first video data associated with a view that a first user views via the first communication device when looking at an environment. The system may receive second video content captured by a second communication device. The second video content may be associated with a second viewpoint perspective associated with second video data indicating at least one of the first user or one or more objects within the environment. The system may provide the first video data associated with the first viewpoint perspective and the second video data associated with the second viewpoint perspective simultaneously to one or more communication devices during a communication associated with a plurality of devices.

  • Publication number: 20230012426
Abstract: A method for using cameras in an augmented reality headset is provided. The method includes receiving a signal from a sensor mounted on a headset worn by a user, the signal being indicative of a user intention for capturing an image. The method also includes identifying the user intention for capturing the image, based on a model to classify the signal from the sensor according to the user intention, selecting a first image capturing device in the headset based on a specification of the first image capturing device and the user intention for capturing the image, and capturing the image with the first image capturing device. An augmented reality headset, a memory storing instructions, and a processor to execute the instructions to cause the augmented reality headset as above are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20190038224
Abstract: Wearable devices having pressure activated biometric monitoring systems and related methods are disclosed. An example wearable device includes a housing including a biometric sensor to detect physiological information of a user. The wearable device includes a circuit to electrically couple the biometric sensor and a power source of the wearable device. A spring contact is positioned adjacent the biometric sensor and is to be oriented toward a user. The spring contact is movably coupled relative to the housing. The spring contact is to close the circuit to activate the biometric sensor when the wearable device is strapped to the user and the spring contact engages the user. The spring contact is to open the circuit to deactivate the biometric sensor when the wearable device is removed from the user to reduce energy drain of the power source by the biometric sensor.
