  • Publication number: 20170218207
Abstract: A method of decorating an article having an iridescent visual effect and an article with surface decoration are provided. The method comprises depositing a plurality of mono-dispersed particles onto a curved surface of the article, each particle having a size of from about 230 nm to about 360 nm with a polydispersity index (PDI) of below 0.2, to form a layer of regularly-ordered colloidal crystals on a surface having a curvature of at least 0.02 cm?1. The colloidal crystals create an iridescent visual effect on the surface where multiple colors can be seen as a person views the substrate from different angles, and the intensity and brightness of the colors is at an optimal level.

  • Patent number: 9721047
Abstract: A computer implemented method for determining a timing variation for an edge of a waveform under simultaneous switching noise (SSN) conditions is provided. The method includes characterizing an impact of mutual inductive relationships on a pin while the pin is at a quiet state and characterizing a signal edge applied to the pin. The signal edge can be characterized by the slew rate in one embodiment. A voltage change related to a curve characterizing the impact of mutual inductive relationships is identified and the voltage change is applied to a curve characterizing an impact of SSN on the signal edge. The method includes calculating a timing variation correlated to the voltage change applied to the curve characterizing the impact of SSN on the signal edge and presenting the calculated timing variation.

  • Publication number: 20170214773
Abstract: A method for optimizing migration efficiency of a data file over network is provided. Specifically, a total time of compression time of the data file, transfer time of the data file over the network, and decompression time of the data file, is minimized by adaptively selecting compression methods to compress each data block of the data file. For selecting a compression method for a data block, information entropy of the data block is analyzed, and a real status of computing and system resources is considered. Further, trade-off among the resource usage, compassion speed and compression ratio is made to calculate an optimized transmission solution over the network for each data block of the data file.

  • Patent number: 9714175
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for quickly extracting lithium carbonate from saline lake water and a system for the same. The method comprises: first quick-freezing the saline lake water to obtain lithium-rich brine, then evaporating under reduced pressure to enable lithium carbonate to be rapidly precipitated out. The method has advantages of short process flow and less labor consumption, thereby enabling continuous automatic operation, high energy utilization and environment-friendly. Further, the crystallization rate is several times faster than that of the salt-pan process and the grade of lithium carbonate salt mine obtained can reach 95% or more, therefore the method of the present invention is particularly suitable for industrial production in the remote saline lake region.

  • Publication number: 20170206465
Abstract: Modeling semantic concepts in an embedding space as distributions is described. In the embedding space, both images and text labels are represented. The text labels describe semantic concepts that are exhibited in image content. In the embedding space, the semantic concepts described by the text labels are modeled as distributions. By using distributions, each semantic concept is modeled as a continuous cluster which can overlap other clusters that model other semantic concepts. For example, a distribution for the semantic concept “apple” can overlap distributions for the semantic concepts “fruit” and “tree” since can refer to both a fruit and a tree. In contrast to using distributions, conventionally configured visual-semantic embedding spaces represent a semantic concept as a single point. Thus, unlike these conventionally configured embedding spaces, the embedding spaces described herein are generated to model semantic concepts as distributions, such as Gaussian distributions, Gaussian mixtures, and so on.

  • Publication number: 20170206435
Abstract: Embedding space for images with multiple text labels is described. In the embedding space both text labels and image regions are embedded. The text labels embedded describe semantic concepts that can be exhibited in image content. The embedding space is trained to semantically relate the embedded text labels so that labels like “sun” and “sunset” are more closely related than “sun” and “bird”. Training the embedding space also includes mapping representative images, having image content which exemplifies the semantic concepts, to respective text labels. Unlike conventional techniques that embed an entire training image into the embedding space for each text label associated with the training image, the techniques described herein process a training image to generate regions that correspond to the multiple text labels. The regions of the training image are then embedded into the training space in a manner that maps the regions to the corresponding text labels.

  • Publication number: 20170206980
Abstract: A method for programming an antifuse-type OTP memory cell is provided. Firstly, a first program voltage is provided to a gate terminal of an antifuse transistor. A first bit line voltage is transmitted to the antifuse transistor. A first voltage stress with a first polarity is provided to a gate oxide layer of the antifuse transistor to form a weak path between the gate terminal and the first drain/source terminal of the antifuse transistor. Secondly, a second program voltage is provided to the gate terminal of the antifuse transistor. A second bit line voltage is transmitted to the antifuse transistor. A second voltage stress with a second polarity is provided to the gate oxide layer of the antifuse transistor. Consequently, a program current is generated along the weak path to rupture the gate oxide layer above the first drain/source terminal.
