    Abstract: An apparatus for charging and discharging a battery is provided, in which the apparatus includes a charging unit, a detecting unit and a discharging unit. The charging unit charges the battery in response to a charging voltage coupled to a voltage input terminal of the charging unit. The detecting unit detects a coupled state between the charging voltage and the charging unit, and turns on a discharging path provided by the discharging unit when the charging voltage is moved away from the charging unit, so as to make the battery supply power to a load. The detecting unit turns off the discharging path when the charging voltage is coupled to the charging unit, so that the battery can not supply power to the load.

    Abstract: A load driving apparatus adapted to drive an outdoor display is provided. The load driving apparatus includes a weather sensing circuit and a display driver. The weather sensing circuit is configured to sense a weather condition corresponding to an installation place of the outdoor display, and accordingly provides a sensing voltage signal varied along with the weather condition. The display driver is coupled between the weather sensing circuit and the outdoor display, and is configured to drive the outdoor display for displaying in response to the sensing voltage signal. When the weather condition is a cloudy day, the sensing voltage signal is linearly varied within a predetermined voltage range, and then the display brightness of the outdoor display is linearly varied between a maximum brightness and a minimum brightness.

    Abstract: A light-emitting-diode (LED) driving apparatus and an LED driving method suitable for driving an LED load are provided. The feedback circuit generates a feedback voltage according to a voltage on the other terminal of the LED load. The control chip generates the PWM driving signal and adjusts the duty cycle of the PWM driving signal in response to the feedback voltage. If the control chip determines the PWM driving signal with a maximum duty cycle continues being output over a preset period of time, the control chip determines that the current leakage phenomenon occurs on the LED load and stops generating the PWM driving signal.

The current detection circuit is serially connected with the LED string and provides a feedback voltage related to a current flowing through the LED string. The control chip generates the gate PWM signal to control the operation of the power conversion circuit. When the LED string is short-circuited, the control chip is shut down in response to the feedback voltage from the current detection circuit, so as to stop generating the gate PWM signal and thus protect the load driving apparatus from being damaged.

The inverter receives a power voltage to light the fluorescent tube with a dual high-voltage method according to a trigger signal. The power unit coupled to the open-loop protection unit and the inverter provides the power voltage and determines whether to turn off the inverter according to the open-loop protection signal. When the open-loop situation of the fluorescent tube is occurred or driving voltage of the fluorescent tube is greater than a rated operating voltage, the inverter is turned off immediately to avoid components from overheating or burning.
