Abstract: A bra includes two breast cups that each include an outer fabric layer and an inner fabric layer. A neckline perimeter of each breast cup is defined at least by one of the outer fabric layer and inner fabric layer. At each breast cup, a core pad is captured between the inner fabric layer and the outer fabric layer that includes a tapered perimeter region to define a thin perimeter region, the thin perimeter region located inward of the neckline perimeter. Also, a bra includes two breast cups from each of which there extends a chest band portion each chest band portion including at least an interior most panel and an exterior most panel. Each chest band portion includes an upper perimeter and a lower perimeter. Captured between and adhered with the interior most panel and the exterior most panel is at least one elastic band that is located to extend at least along at least part of and adjacent the upper perimeter and the lower perimeter.

Abstract: A molded brassiere, a core assembly of a first layer of molded foam material laminated with a second layer of molded foam material, defining two breast cup regions and an intermediate bridge region. At least one layer of flexible material having non-stretch properties adjacent one of or intermediate of and laminated with the layers of molded foam material at the bridge region, and oriented so that across the bridge region parallel to the cup to cup direction the material is non-stretchable. A first and second layer of the fabric is laminated with the core assembly on the respective interior and exterior side and preferably encases the core assembly. A third layer joined at least to the first layer at or near the lowermost perimeter of the core assembly is wrapped over that perimeter and extends towards the remaining perimeter thereof.

Abstract: A molded brassiere comprising or including, a breast cup region defined at least by (i) an interior panel that includes a foam ply (herein after “interior foam ply”) and (ii) an exterior panel that includes a foam ply (herein after “exterior foam ply”), said interior and exterior panels being laminated with each other defining a breast cup region that includes two breast cups and an intermediate bridge region extending there between, wherein the interior and exterior panels are laminated with each other save at least at a region where, for each breast cup, a pocket is defined between the interior and exterior panels, the pocket being located extending from the lower perimeter region of the breast cup towards the neckline of the breast cup, the interior panel at said pocket having lower curvature than said exterior panel so that said pocket provides an air gap between said interior and exterior panels.

The component comprises an injection molded material unitarily defining two breast cups and a bridge connecting the two breast cups. At each breast cup the molded material varies in thickness to define a pad-like formation for the brassiere.

Abstract: A method of incorporating a fastener with a molded brassiere of a seamless construction and that includes an exterior panel of moldable material and an interior panel of moldable material that is contiguous with the exterior more panel and has been laminated therewith except at at least a non-laminated region where the fastener is to be located, and wherein the fastener includes a connector supported by a flexible mounting panel, the method comprising creating an opening through one of the exterior panel and the interior panel at the non-laminated region and at a location thereof through which at least part of the connector is to extend, locating the flexible mounting panel intermediate of the exterior panel and the interior panel at the non-laminated region in a manner to allow the at least part of the connector to extend through the opening, affixing at least one of the exterior panel and the interior panel to the flexible mounting panel.
