An anomaly rule is stored in the Internet of Things device. According to the anomaly rule, the Internet of Things device determines whether a request sent by the Internet of Things device is an anomaly request and whether a control instruction received from an Internet of Things cloud platform is an anomaly control instruction. When the anomaly request or anomaly control instruction is received, the Internet of Things device discards the anomaly request or the anomaly control instruction.

The terminal device detects a trigger event; performs self-detection on the terminal based on the trigger event, where the self-detection is detecting a status of a wireless signal of the terminal device; and prompts reminder information when determining, based on the self-detection, that the wireless signal is abnormal.
