Abstract: A system and method for analyzing official notices of an electronically filed patent application are based on a file server that connects to patent office websites, a database, and client computers. An official notice of the patent application is downloaded from one of the patent office websites according to a download command from one of the client computers, and is converted to an image format document. Character data of the image format document are identified, and patent information of the electronically filed patent application are extracted from the character data using a regular expression. In addition, the patent information are analyzed to generate analysis results of the official notice according to the comparison.

Abstract: A system and method for submitting a patent application electronically includes converting a specification and figures of the patent application saved in a storage device into an application body extensible (ABX) word file, converting the ABX word file into an extensible markup language (XML) file and a portable document format (PDF) file, downloading patent details of the patent application from the storage device. The method further includes inputting the patent details to each textbox on a patent submission webpage of a designated patent office website, reading a title of the patent application and the number of claims from the XML file and the PDF file, and creating XML nodes of the patent details for the XML file to obtain an application file package, transferring the application file package to a remote server located at a designated patent office.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for updating patent examination procedures automatically is provided. The method includes determining whether an examination procedure of a patent stored in a database needs to be updated by monitoring a status of the patent, obtaining an application country information and an application number of the patent from the database, accessing a patent website corresponding to the application country information to search examination information of the patent in the patent website. The method further includes determining whether the examination information of the patent has been changed, downloading new examination information of the patent from the patent website according to the application number of the patent, if the examination information of the patent has been changed, and uploading the new examination information of the patent to the database to update the examination procedure of the patent.

Abstract: A computer-based method for inserting data into a PDF document is provided. The method includes: generating a template based on contents and elements of the PDF document; reading data to be inserted into the PDF document from a database; processing the read data according to the elements of the PDF document; inserting the data processed into the template; integrating the data inserted template with the PDF document; and generating the data inserted PDF document. A related system is also disclosed.

Abstract: A method for managing receipts of an e-filing patent application is disclosed. The method includes: receiving one or more receipts from a patent office website via the Internet when a patent application is filed in the patent office electronically; uploading the one or more receipts to a file server; obtaining information corresponding to keywords of the one or more receipts; and updating information of the patent application in a database server connected to the file server according to the information corresponding to the keywords. A related system is also disclosed.

Abstract: A method for filling a form of a web page stored in a Web server (1) includes the steps of: providing an application server (2) for receiving parameter values; searching and obtaining to-be-posted new data from a database (3) according to the parameter values; matching the to-be-posted new data with one or more corresponding input fields of the form of the Web page according to the parameter values; accessing the Web page of the Web server; filling up the corresponding input fields with the to-be-posted new data; and activating the form of the Web page in order to post data of the corresponding input fields to the Web server. A related system is also provided.
