  • Publication number: 20200364902
Abstract: A calibration apparatus and method are provided for a surround-view camera system having a plurality of cameras mounted to an object (e.g., a vehicle). A plurality of markers are arbitrarily placed around the object and configured to measure a plurality of distances between one another. The markers preferably include a rangefinder to measure distances. From at least one image from one or more cameras, a controller is configured to visually identify at least two markers which define a coordinate system. Based on the measured plurality of distances between markers and the visually identified markers, the controller generates calibration information as an output, preferably saved in the form of a look-up table, which will be retrieved and used when a display device generates a bird's-eye view for a viewer. Additionally, a marker that is part of the calibration apparatus is provided.

  • Patent number: 10810117
Abstract: At least one application runs on a hardware platform that includes a plurality of coprocessors, each of which has a respective internal memory space. An intermediate software layer (MVL) is transparent to the application and intercepts calls for coprocessor use. If the data corresponding to an application's call, or separate calls from different entities (including different applications) to the same coprocessor, to the API of a target coprocessor, cannot be stored within the available internal memory space of the target coprocessor, but comprises data subsets that individually can, the MVL intercepts the call response to the application/entities and indicates that the target coprocessor can handle the request. The MVL then transfers the data subsets to the target coprocessor as needed by the corresponding kernel(s) and swaps out each data subset to the internal memory of another coprocessor to make room for subsequently needed data subsets.

Abstract: Embodiments herein disclose methods and systems for generating a 2D-navigation map for collision-free navigation by a plurality of robots has been described. Initially, 2D-navigation map generator executing at a cloud map server initiates a particle simulation to add a plurality of bubbles to an image of an area. Next the 2D-navigation map generator executing at the cloud map server, process the bubble simulation to determine a set of bubbles from the plurality of robots on the image that are overlapping free spaces of the area in the image. Next the 2D-navigation map generator executing at the cloud map server, generates the 2D-navigation map by connecting the set of bubbles using a plurality of edges, wherein the plurality of edges indicate a navigation path to navigate within the area. Finally, based on the generated 2D-navigation map, the plurality of robots traversing from a current location to another location.
