    Abstract: An exemplary testing device includes a RAID unit including under test disk drives, a replacing unit including a reserve disk drive, a switching unit, a state recognition unit and a control unit. The switching unit includes buttons corresponding to the under test disk drives, respectively. Each of the buttons is switched between a first position in which a corresponding under test disk drive is in connection with the RAID unit and a second position in which the corresponding under test disk drive is disconnected from the RAID unit. The state recognition unit outputs status signals corresponding to the under test disk drives, respectively. The control unit receives the status signals from the state recognition unit and controls the reserve disk drive to successfully begin to work in replacement of the disconnected under test disk drive for rebuilding the RAID unit. The display unit displays a testing result thereon.

The time limit control device is used to count down the connection time, and control a display module to display a remaining connection time. When a countdown of the connection time is zero, the time limit control device controls the network switch module to disable the network card and thereby disconnecting the computer from the external network.

    Abstract: In a system and method for testing a wake-up on LAN (WOL) function of a computer, the computer connects to a server through a local area network (LAN). The system constructs a network connection between the server and the computer according to an Internet protocol (IP) address, a media access control (MAC) address and a name of the computer, and enables the computer in a wake-up mode when the server connects to the computer through the LAN. A wake-up command is generated for waking up a WOL function of the computer, the computer performs a WOL function test process according to the wake-up command. The sever detects a current status of the computer from a data packet when the data packet is received from the computer, and records the current status as a test result of the WOL function of the computer.

The sensing module detects whether a user of the computer has left, outputs a first sensing signal when the user has left, and outputs a second sensing signal when the user comes back. The control module stores the preset time, when the preset time is reduced to zero, and the control module receives the first sensing signal, the control module outputs a sleep signal to the computer, to control the computer to enter a sleep mode. In the sleep mode, the control module outputs a wake signal to the computer according to the received second sensing signal, to control the computer to return to a working mode.

    Abstract: A method for identifying Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) device information can identify information on all PCI devices coupled to a PCI bus. The method includes the steps: (a) initializing an address parameter and an address offset to a predetermined first number; (b) writing a first address value to a configuration port; (c) reading data from a data port based on the address value; (d) determining whether there is a corresponding PCI device coupled to the PCI bus based on the data; (e) adding a predetermined second number to the address parameter if there is no corresponding PCI device coupled to the PCI bus, so as to allocate an address for a next PCI device; (f) determining whether all the PCI devices have been searched; and (g) repeating step (b) to step (f) till all the PCI devices have been searched. A related system is also disclosed.
