Abstract: A system for determining the intent of query that includes a search engine that receives a first search query, a query/click log module configured to store log data associated with the first search query; and a computational module that generates metric values associated with the first search query based on the log data and that determines that the first search query is one of a regional specific query or a global query based on the metric values, where the metric values reflect a likelihood of local intent of the first search query, and where the search engine provides search results selected in part based on the metric values.

Abstract: To estimate, or predict, the relevance of items, or documents, in a set of search results, relevance information is extracted from user click data, and relational information among the documents as manifested by an aggregation of user clicks is determined from the click data. A supervised approach uses judgment information, such as human judgment information, as part of the training data used to generate a relevance predictor model, which minimizes the inherent noisiness of the click data collected from a commercial search engine.

Abstract: A method of performing direct current pressurized sintering to powder in a mold having a cylindrical molding space, wherein sintering is continuously effected while relatively moving a current portion and a sintering subject; and a sintering device characterized in that the vertical position of the current electrodes is unchanged and the mold and the sintering subject are successively moved with respect to the current electrodes, so as to effect continuous sintering. A sintering method and a sintering device that are superior in sintering ability are provided wherein even if the sintered body is in the form of a long-size rod or has an uneven cross-section, the sintered body is uniform in quality.
