    Abstract: Provided is a method and system for supporting IMS VCC based on an MIH. In a method of supporting a multimedia service for an MIH-based VCC, neighbor network information is obtained from an MIH server periodically or according to an event trigger and scanning the neighbor network. The capacity of at least one more candidate networks is detected from the scanning results to prepare a handover. A target network is determined among the candidate networks to reserve resources and a handover command event is generated to perform a domain transfer. The handover is completed after the performing of the domain transfer.
